The location was excellent as it was very near the Railway station and we were able to walk into Jaffna Market / Library and the local shops and restaurants. The staff both at the front desk and restaurant were very helpful and we wished that we had planned to stay there longer . We will certainly be returning here again

Stayed 2 nights. Was a pleasant stay. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Toilets were generally clean but not immaculate. Splendid service from start to end by the hotel staff. Enjoyed varieties of northern and international food served specially at breakfast. Hotel is located next to the Jaffna station which makes is absolutely convenient to anyone traveling by train. Station being very close proximity was not a disturbance at all.

We had a very good time at NorthGate. Rooms are spacious and clean. The restaurant serves the best meals for both breakfast, lunch and dinner. All staff are friendly and are doing their best to make our stay as good as possible. The location was perfect for us this time.

North Gate is an exceptional hotel that truly stands out. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the staff are incredibly helpful and attentive. Having stayed at various 5-star hotels in Sri Lanka, including Mount Lavinia and Cinnamon Grand, I can confidently say North Gate offers a unique experience that makes me want to return, especially for its prime location and outstanding service. A special thanks to Praveen and Prasanna for going above and beyond to accommodate my requests. The restaurant was another highlight, offering authentic Jaffna specialties that were a treat to the palate. I particularly enjoyed the milk hoppers, Jaffna Dosai, and Vadai. The housekeeping team also did a fantastic job keeping the rooms spotless. I would wholeheartedly recommend North Gate to anyone looking for a remarkable stay in Jaffna.

Ich leistete mir erstmal ein für mich so teures Zimmer und wurde in der 2. Nacht, Samstag, von einer sehr lauten Disco und Geschrei im Korridor und im Saal ob meinem Zimmer gestresst. Das hat mich sehr gestört, da ich finde, dass man mich informieren hätte sollen. Ich finde das sehr respektlos. Schade. Insgesamt wirkte auf mich der ganze Betrieb eher etwas gesnobt und arrogant. Das Zimmerpersonal war sehr freundlich.

Great staff - very pleasant and superb service. The rooms were well equipped and clean. Attracted a good profile of guests and very suitable for families. The buffet was excellent and served many local delicacies. Can easily be recommend for anyone.
