I booked this hotel through the inbound tour operator (sterling vacations pvt ltd) for 2 nights (24 Dec - 26 Dec) for 2 adults and 1 child (13 years old). I requested late check in on 24 Dec and arrived by mid night by train from new Delhi. Nightmare was waiting for us and it just started while walking into premises. We were asked to scan the bags which was fine. We had 4 suitcases and no one was there to assist us. I scanned them all and waiting for further assistance, no one came for next 15 mins and everyone including security staff were watching me doing all these. I left luggage there and walked to the check in counter, was given key/card. We were told that luggage will come to the room. We walked into the room and found only 1 bed while we booked 3 occupancy. We decided to wait for the luggage to come, it was nearly 35 mins (00:45hrs) but can't see luggage at all. I decided to to check with reception so I came down and asked the staff luggage, 3 occupancy reservation and not having extra bed in the room. I saw my luggage is still there in the main lobby. So, i asked a member of staff if I can take them myself, They still insisted that we will bring them over to our room. It was 1am in the night and I am still waiting for my luggage and extra bed (after 1 hour). Finally, luggage arrived at the 4th floor in our room after 1am. with one single mattress. Manager and reception staff advised housekeeping staff to deliver a mattress without bed. while asked about, we were told that we can lay down this mattress on the floor as we can't provide you bed!! I asked reception that I paid for the advance booking for 3 occupancy two months ago. hotel check in time was 2pm and I arrived with family around mid night, provided information about late check in and still hotel couldn't provide me proper bed which I already paid for!!! I had to go again to the reception and tried to resolve these issues but couldn't get any help. After so many requests, I got a bed with mattress around 2am Reception staff plus other staff around looked extremely poor for the customer service. There were not prompt and not ready to offer any assistance. I had to even say to the duty manager that this hotel can't be classified 4 or 5 star as staff don't look trained at all. some facts: Arrived at Delhi 24 dec morning, half a day tour of Delhi completed, took a train to Jaipur around 7pm from Delhi Cantt., reached Jaipur by 11.30, hotel by mind night and went to bed 2 hours after checked in!! Absolute nightmare! Booking a room in such prestigious hotel assured the guests excellent customer service but this hotel failed in each every department except restaurant where food was good. I will never ever recommend this hotel in Jaipur for their poor standard of customer service. PrashantPandya Leeds, UK
