Excellent service convenient but smoking not cool
What I loved most was the service and the friendly staff/ my flight was really delayed ( 22 hours) and when I arrived there was a wonderful handwritten card in our room from the staff. Also , they let us check out at 3 pm when we left because of it. So grateful.
The property is beautiful and conveniently located. I was also able to rent a car right at the hotel,
Pools are beautiful, food fabulous, beach a short walk away.
Yet I don’t think I’ll stay here again mostly because our apartment even though it was comfortable was very dark and the bedroom had no ventilation. A weird design flaw , especially on Curacao where you can build with the wind in mind.
The reason I can’t come back though was that on the porch all my neighbors smoked and there was no way to escape their smoking or talking... why you allow smoking in an Eco resort is beyond me.
So if you don’t mind people smoking and you don’t mind a dark but beautiful apartment, ( the ground floor for sure) this is a good choice.

Very disappointing
Resort lookes nice, the pool’s are great! We did not try the restaurants but we heard they were fine.
We stayed at an (2br) appartement, which was super dark, moist and equipped with not even the bare minimum (only four knives for four persons). The appartements are really close to each other, we were in the smoke of our neighbors the whole week. Ally next to our appartement smelled like urine, which was bothering us even on our terrace, nothing was done after reporting it.
Every 3 days you get cleaning but the towel are dirty and they don’t refill anything. Staff races around in golf carts in front of your house the whole day.
Front office isn’t helpful with the complaints.
Car park is full if you arrive late.
Our advice is to look elsewhere (the 3 resorts closer to the beach)

Eco focus family resort for a dream vacation!
This was our dream vacation. Curaçao is a Caribbean island paradise with white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and plenty of corals, tropical fish and sea turtles. Morena is located in the southern part of Curaçao near Jan Thiel Bay. It's premise is that of an eco resort, minimizing waste, built on simple architecture, simple materials and solid construction, luxurious without being excessive, all in all tasteful.
the good:
-we rented a 3-bedroom individual cabin, with comfortable beds in the sleeping rooms, a complete kitchen, and a spacious terrace for our meals
-resort organization was top notch with friendly, attentive and diligent staff who attended to our (many) requests, great check-in/out experience
-breakfast and restaurant had all essentials with great food preparation and quality, even accomodating to our dietary restrictions
-gorgeous pool areas and the pool water is kept crystal and clean
-rent a car at competitive rates and drive all around Curaçao (a must to visit the great beaches!)
the bad:
-Mosquito issue (which may be seasonal). We arrived at night and because the cabin lights were on, there were a ton of mosquitos inside. Thus mosquito bed nets and repellent are a must. You learn to always close the bedroom doors
-Cabin design is such that the living room cannot be used at night because there isn't a simple mesh to block insects from following the light inside at night
the ugly:
-really nothing to complain about, this a resort that we do recommend!

Een erg mooi resort met prachtig appartement. Op loopafstand van Jan Thiel Beach. De file naar Willemstad of het westen is berucht, maar helpt je onthaasten. Zwembaden zijn lekker voor een duikje in de ochtend. De communicatie via Whatsapp verloopt erg snel. Op zaterdagochtend een heerlijke Yogaklas. Twee kleine puntjes van kritiek: Eco resort? Het is een kostenbesparing. Verder prima hoor, maar de housekeeping moet niet de airco gaan uitzetten. Op de laatste dag gaat de housekeeping wel erg pushen om je weg te krijgen. Ze zetten al vroeg hun spullen neer en komen meerdere malen checken of je al weg bent. Onnodig en ongastvrij op een verder heel gastvrij resort.

Heel mooi resort, prachtige tuin met mooie bomen en planten, veel vogels en salamanders, snelle whatsapp service, heerlijk eten (ossenhaas), vriendelijk personeel, goed bed, mooie zwembaden. Alleen de douche is niet geweldig (eco-stand) en we hebben dagelijks een half uur in de file gestaan om richting Willemstad te komen. Echt genoten van ons verblijf bij het prachtige resort.

Het is een prachtig en vooral heel erg rustig resort. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We hebben een aantal dagen een auto gehuurd bij het resort en dit is prima bevallen. Strand op loopafstand is ook prima te doen. Eten ( ontbijt en diner) is fantastisch. Kortom Morena is een echte aanrader. Wij gaan zeker nog een keer terug.
