Delta Street Inn

Excellent stay. The room was comfortable, clean, bright and traditionally furnished. The quality of the heating/aircon was exemplary..quiet and effective. Breakfast was very good indeed. Beautifully presented and cooked, by the attentive and accomplished host, Pam. The communal two downstairs sitting rooms were welcoming, quiet and appealing. It was a ten minute walk into town, along a largely unlit street. Downsides? The house is very close to a busy highway, which was pretty noisy through the night, and a couple of loud trains trundled through, too. We were in Room 1, which is probably best avoided if are bothered by noise at night. It is a very good place to stay, in an interesting small town

My husband and I visited Jefferson for our anniversary and stayed at the absolutely BEAUTIFUL Delta Street Inn. GREAT location, close to modern conveniences yet tucked away in an older, quiet neighborhood that felt like you were staying at Grandma's house. Our hostess, Pam, was wonderful. Breakfasts were very hearty and tasty. Our room (we stayed in the one on the ground floor) was gorgeous and very comfortable! I will definitely stay here again if I'm ever in Jefferson!

Best Beakfast we have had in a long time. When we arrived, our host gave us some great ideas for an evening out @ the 1852 Steakhouse. It was packed with great food & live 70's music. An awesome time. The breakfast was the best quiche ever along with fruit, juice, coffee yum. Rooms are super clean and very comfortable with private bathroom along with a super comfy bed. Best experince ever. We will return soon with friends. Jeanne & I want to thank you for a great birthday experience for Jeanne'.

Our stay was perfect! The room very comfortable and we enjoyed staying in the historical home. We definitely recommend and will stay at Delta Street Inn again. Also, the breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed our hosts.

This was our first bed and breakfast stay. It won’t be our last. Everything is taken care of and comfortable. Bob and Pam are wonderful hosts and the breakfast is amazing. They have great coffee as well. Enjoyed visiting with the hosts and others at breakfast each morning. If you need any info on Jefferson, where to eat, what to do, just ask Pam. I think she knows everyone in Jefferson. Stayed in upstairs room with private bath and shower. Bed was comfortable and room was just right for the 2 of us. We got the break from our normal lives that we needed.

Beautiful, well appointed and comfortable Bed and Breakfast. Delicious breakfasts. Gracious and helpful Hosts. Loved Bob and Pam. Our stay here made our annual trip to the car show extra special. Will be back!

All the smallest details were taken care of. The proprietors have thought of everything. Enjoyed our experience immensely. Service was fabulous and breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend for a getaway.

This song by Cole Porter is the perfect description of the Delta Street Inn. Bob and Pam are Delightful hosts. They are so friendly to visit with, but they also give you plenty of privacy. They gave us wonderful recommendations of things to do and see. They made wonderful recommendations of restaurants, such as "1852 on Austin" and Taco Tuesday at "KnightLight's". Then they made reservations for us. They also recommended a tour on Caddo Lake and the Nature walk in town. We wanted to tour the House of the Seasons and when we tried calling we got no response. Pam sent a text and immediately we received a phone call and we were able to book a tour. All 3 tours were simply Delightful! Our breakfast each morning was Delicious! Our morning started with coffee or tea available in the Dining room. Breakfast started with a fresh fruit cup and orange juice if you wanted it. Then the main course of a different egg course each day. We had a mini egg casserole with sausage / fluffy scrambled eggs / fritatta / omelet. These were accompanied by sausage or bacon (fritatta), hashbrowns, pancakes or homefries. Each morning was something different and was always more than we could eat. De-Lovely is the only way to describe the Inn. We were a group of 3 siblings and spouses (one sister had to cancel at the last moment because of family issues). We reserved the 4 rooms upstairs. We also used the game room downstairs (to play games in the evenings), the living room to sit and vist as well as the front porch. My husband and I stayed in Room 3 which had an adjoining balcony. Unfortunately, it was a little cool while we were visiting, but there were nice chairs to sit and enjoy the scenery. Our bed was extremely comfortable. The sheets were very high quality and the pillows were just the perfect size and firmness. The towels were fluffy and absorbent and we appreciated the walk-in shower instead of having to step over into a bathtub. It was very convenient to have our own thermostat because we ran the heater the first 2 days and the air conditioner the second 2 days. (crazy Texas weather!) Another nicety was a small vase of fresh flowers in the bedside table. (We also enjoyed the fresh flowers on the dining table.) Our room had plenty of space to comfortably walk around. There was an armoir with a television in it, but we rarely turned it on. Bob and Pam had everything you might need. I saw extra charging cables on an entry table, umbrellas in a hall stand, small bags of ice, sodas, games and DVD's in the game room. There were multiple brochures and things to read about activities and restaurants in the area. The building itself was beautifully restored by Bob and Pam. There are lovely antiques, light fixtures and gorgeous floors. We fell in love with Jefferson, with it's lovely restaurants, shops and museums, We also fell in love with the Delta Street Inn. We made a great decision when we chose the Delta Street Inn for our weekend get-away! Pam and Bob were warm and welcoming! Our rooms were comfortable and we were made to feel right at home! The icing on the cake was the delicious breakfast, including home-made biscuits and blueberry muffins! We loved staying here and highly recommend it!
