Best Western Plus Jekyll Island

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Jekyll Island! The Seafarer Inn offered a wonderful room that was spacious and affordable with a fabulous morning breakfast buffet. The location was ideal for quick and easy access to all things on the Island! From sunrise to sunset you can be as busy or as relaxed as you wish.

We were in town for the Diamond Cheer and Dance competition this weekend and we were very pleased with our stay. Management was very informative on every detail to know about our stay. All the staff were very pleasant. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and family. We will book again in the near future.

Excellent customer service! Jessica went out of her way to ensure we were well taken care of. Room was spotless. Bed was very comfortable. Hot breakfast with eggs, ham, biscuits and gravy. We will be back.

Very bad experience, AC in room was not working at check-in. Hotel thought the problem was corrected, but it stopped around 11PM. There was no one available to fix the problem and no other rooms available. The AM front desk clerk was able to find us another room which was fine. My main problem I was put in a 2nd floor room in a building with no elevator the 1st time. Going up and down the steps carrying my luggage really missed up my knee, which then made it hard for me to walk. Walking on the beach is one of my greatest pleasures and I had looked forward to this. When I asked the PM desk clerk Eddie who was the one who checked us in, why he would put someone my age in a 2nd floor without a elevator, his only response was it was an upgrade as we had gotten a suite for the price of a regular room. I was upset and tired as I hadn't slept well from the hot room and I would appreciated a little sympathy to the situation. He had been very arrogant at check-in and now it was plain he could care less what I had been through. Things continued to escalate till he told to leave the lobby unless I apologize to him, when I felt I was the one who desired an apology. Also, make sure you check your charges as there were extra charges on my bill. This hotel has some really good features as it is in a great location, the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable.

The acquisition of this property as a Best Western Plus has been a positive change for the former Seafarer/Quality Inn on Jekyll Island. The staff were all friendly and helpful (like Sandy and Bobby when they were at this hotel a few years ago). There were plenty of employees actively working in several different capacities to maintain and spruce up the property. Rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast area was clean with multiple hot and cold food choices. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay.

Breakfast was good- eggs and ham each morning plus a waffle machine rounded out the hot food. One kind of bread, one kind of bagel and a few assorted muffins; cereal; oranges; coffee and tea (would have liked cocoa); juices. So a decent selection. Pool area was nice. Room was clean; furniture was worn but okay. Beach was right across the street so very convenient. Bed was clean and comfortable, which was most important to me. Staff was friendly. Would stay again.
