Lev Jerusalem This hotel is disgusting. I was there during the week of 11.7.23. The rooms are under renovation. And are dirty inside. Sheets are fairly clean, carpet dusty and room door doesn’t shut. The outside carpets on the floor, towards the elevator and back are full of cement, white dust. There’s no parking, from George street towards the hotel you’ve got to walk a lot, if your elderly, blah. Breakfast skimpy. The staff are very nice and I think embarrassed.

Staying at Hillel 11 Aparthotel but have breakfast at Lev Jerusalem Hotel. The breakfast is good. A BIG thank you to Abdullah who works so hard in the restaurant and is so helpful and attentive to his customers.

The worst hotel I’ve been in. Water leaking from the ceiling. Puddles on the floor. The door would not lock. I immediately checked out. It was disgusting. In addition there was mold on the walls. To allow a guest to check in is just wrong.

whatever you pay is too much ! what is good - not sure to be fair, this place is a dump, my room was a building site and filthy, the staff apologised and said " what can we do that is all we have" the staff to be fair were nice but all else was just unacceptable for any hotel

If location is your primary POI, then you can't go wrong with Lev Yerushalayim. It is at the corner of Ben Yehudah Street and King George, which is Ground Zero for all the kids and tourists. Easy 25 minute walk to the Kotel or Meah Shearim, or a bunch of other places. It is as central as can be. HOWEVER, the hotel itself needs work. It is in dire need of a refresher, which, to be fair, they are in the process of doing. Our room was old and worn. Functional for what we needed (which was mostly a place to sleep), but not anything I would write home about. There is some construction going on to spruce things up, which is a good thing, but didn't help us any. They offer some meals at outrageous price, which I was told (by the hotel staff) to avoid at all costs, so we did. Only a hundred other places to eat right outside the door. Overall, it was a good enough place to sleep, but don't go looking for anything else. It's not the plaza.

Abysmal hotel.Extremely Dirty. Mold in bathroom. Airvents with dust over a year old. Missing tiles. Missing cealing boards. Extremely rude staff. Receptionist Juli interrupted me numerous times during my complaint. Waving her hands about and screaming. Manager no where to be seen. Never again.

Over the years, I've stayed at Lev Yerushalayim a couple of dozen times.  If you're looking for luxury, this isn't the place.  But if you want a hotel that's just three blocks from the exciting Jewish shuk (open air market), as well as the Ben Yehuda Mall, and smack dab next to a slew of key bus routes, this is it.  It's also nice to see, post-covid, the return of tourists at the hotel.            However, performance at Lev Yerushalayim, as always, is hit or miss.  On my latest visit in November 2022 (2 nights, then 1 a week later), there was no heat in the hotel on my first two cool fall nights.  On the go-around, there was heat.             The bathtub shower continued to be a problem on the first two nights.  Contrasted to my visit in June, this time the flexible shower hose had a hook so I could stand underneath.  But -- the plastic shower guard covers only 1/3 of the tub, so showering meant huddling in the front of the tub to avoid water running onto the floor.  Lo and behold, on the second visit a week later, I was assigned a room which had a plastic shower curtain around the tub in addition  to the shower guard.  Why this simple workaround couldn't be done in all hotel rooms is beyond me.              I normally have no problem accessing my hotel room in LY.  But on my second visit, the key spun around and around in the lock, not opening a thing.  I had to get the desk lady to come up, try it herself, and give me a key card.              On my first room this time, the tv worked well, getting many dozens of stations.  But on the second time, the tv turned on but got no stations. Bummer.              I'm grateful for the microwave in the rooms, but on the first two nights my microwave had a broken handle.  Could have been fixed.  Bottom line: mixed bag. Decide what's important for you.

Horrible. We stayed here on previous visits (the last time in 2016) and found it plain but adequate for the price, and a good location. But after this visit, you could not pay me to return to this place. The day we arrived, one half of our bed had a bottom sheet which was too short to fit the mattress. There were 2 bath towels, and no other towels for hands or kitchen. Despite going down to ask at the desk, where they gave me towels, we had to find cleaning staff ourselves on a later day, and request a sheet which actually fit on the bed. The room was dirty- walls, light switches, sinks, surfaces. The bathroom counter was too big and left too little room for the toilet - the seat of which came off and my husband fixed- and no place to put the toilet paper except behind so it hurt to reach. The bathtub drain back-flowed up the floor drain flooding the tiny space. A light switch by the bed didn’t work. After complaining for a few days WE found a different bulb to try - but the light never worked and the desk never explained it to us. Maybe because the room’s phone wasn’t connected to anything. That we discovered after trying to call the desk to complain about being woken up by youngsters screaming up and down the hall banging and slamming doors and walls, despite our requests for them to be quiet. This happened more than once.
