I got a HUGE room (including a separate living room). I really enjoyed this place a lot and spent a week here. I liked how it was not right in Shaxi (more peaceful that way and away from hordes of tourists) but an easy walk away. Great views from my 2nd floor. The receptionist I dealt with was very helpful and had some great suggestions for me.

quaint guest house that is run by a retired HK couple, they provided the warmest welcome during our entire trip, and we felt so at home! we spend quite a while chatting with Ms May and her husband and enjoyed the exchange. facilities are homely and basic, with a lovely garden and a kids play area. total of 8 rooms. shaxi ancient town is such a gem, quaint, quiet and is a place where you can really slow down your pace to appreciate what yunnan china is like. spend your time wandering around shaxi ancient town, it’s small (1 hour exploration) but definitely take the time to sit with a cup of coffee or a book. take the yellow taxi (electric buggy) to explore the various smaller towns that surround shaxi. there are appx 7 smaller towns, each with its own charm… we only had time to explore beilongchun, where the pace of life is slow, quiet and healing. the higher you hike, the views are very different! some places to check out: - shaxi avant garde book shop u - universal bakery (alien mascot bakery that sells sourdough, hard crust bread) - bailong tan (small lake) - 山风院子 which has a tree house and a mini cafe - shaxi tea horse museum - old stone bridge, in the afternoon an elderly couple would be there with their goats and you can buy goat milk or take photos. - shaxi friday market!!!

This is my favorite B&B/hotel after visiting Yunnan for half a month. Your mood will get better if you live there. There are members on the TV, so you can watch a lot of TV series. You can watch the sunrise in the morning and sunset in the evening. The viewing angle is great. Hygiene is also clean. Super recommended.

The B&B is right at the entrance of the village, and the parking is very convenient. It is very suitable for self-driving tours. There is a large field with the window open, and it is not far from the town center. We originally booked 2 nights and really liked it so we stayed 5 more nights. Next time I come to Shaxi, I will choose to live in Biewan, Xishui.

The boss was very welcoming. It was inconvenient to push luggage in the ancient town, so he took the initiative to help us arrange people to carry the luggage. The breakfast was also very good. The location of this hotel is literally on the doorstep of the pedestrian zone yet it is still accessible by car. The public car park is also right next door to the hotel. The hotel is decorated in traditional style and is very quiet at night. I liked that the hotel provided electric blankets for the cold nights. The breakfast is delicious and enough to keep you going for most of the day. Helpful staff and a relaxing place to enjoy Shaxi.
