The staff were friendly and helpful. You could make an appointment or send your clothes to the front desk for cleaning. After drying, you could schedule a time to have them returned to your room, which was very convenient. The room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was okay, though limited in variety and leaned towards Cantonese cuisine. People from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai might not be comfortable with it. The dinner buffet, included in the room rate, was surprisingly good, with a decent variety and good taste. The waiters were also very friendly. The hotel is located in the old city, close to attractions and restaurants, and is highly recommended. I was a bit annoyed by the TV projection fee, which is the cheapest in Chaoshan at 5.99 per day and 7.99 for two days. The shower room was also quite small. While there was a folding clothes hanger, it was still inconvenient to store towels and a change of clothes.

We had a wonderful time in this ancient capital Jieyang and staying in this hotel (3N4D), had definitely contributed greatly to our holiday experience in Jieyang The hotel was well-located - walking distance/ short distance on electrical tricycle ride to Xuegong Square (we were there everyday!), walking distance to nearby morning market and night food stalls. The room was very comfortable and contemporary designed, with modern comfort and smart electrical/ digital set-up. There was piped-in music when one was in a shower. We also enjoyed the breakfast, having a chance to try the local Teochew food for breakfast. There was also washing machine and dryer for our laundry which we used while having breakfast. The reception counter staff were very friendly and helpful with our requests/ questions. I will highly recommend this hotel for those travelling to Jieyang.

I can't believe a hotel at this price point could have such excellent hardware and software! One perk of traveling during the off-season is the chance for a room upgrade. The location is super nice, just a few minutes' walk from Jinxianmen, and places like Ezuoshe restaurant are also just a few minutes away on foot. The water pressure in the room was steady, there's a smart toilet, a smart speaker... all the toiletries are comprehensive too. The room layout is very sensible... truly incredible value for money. There's also free parking. The only regret is that this morning, I'm not sure if there was construction, but when I picked up my car to leave, it was covered in a lot of white stuff, and the front desk couldn't give me a clear reason why.
