Xishuangbanna Yuejiang Hotel Reviews

We had a lovely trip thanks to the friendly and helpful staff of the Yuejiang hotel! They contacted us by WeChat after booking the rooms to organize the free airport pick up (very polite and friendly driver) and answer any questions on our side. The hotel is not located in the heart of Gaozhuang tourist area but still close enough to walk to it but you could also use the free shuttle from the hotel. We were happy with the location: the closer you get to the tourist area the more you hear the loud music from the Starlight Nightmarket. Breakfast was mostly Chinese food but good enough choice to start your day well. The pool was clean and big but a bit chilly to hang around. Nice temperature though if you want to swim a few lanes for exercise. Close to the hotel are a couple of ebike rentals which we did on our last day and the kids loved it! I highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is in a good location for the night market, compared to intercontinental, the pool was much nicer. But the hotel wasn’t the cleanest.

This hotel has a really pleasant atmosphere. The staff are very helpful and friendly. It is a short walk to the main restaurant and market streets. We didn't use the pool but it was fully open and has plenty of space to relax in the outdoors area. Overall the hotel is very good value for money.

The stay is comfy. The service is impeccable. The well-trained staff is very friendly, hospitable and dedicated to customer satisfaction.

Close to the Jinghong Nightmarket, spacious and nice room.

We were in a double room facing the pool. It was very clean and, even though not very big, it felt spacious. The bedroom and bathroom were both very clean. We had a small balcony that was also very clean and well maintained. There is a clothes line for hanging any wet clothes or washing. The room has a mini fridge which is fantastic. They also include key toiletries. The wifi is good most of the time. The hotel has free self-service laundry. The outdoor pool is large and both the water and surfaces seem very clean. There are children playing in it most of the time. Around the pool are a few chairs and loungers but not nearly enough. There is space for more chairs definitely. The gym is small but has dumbbells from 2.5kg to 25kg and an adjustable bench. It also has 2 running machines and 2 bikes. It’s worth going there and turning the aircon on an hour before you want to work out. It would be useful if there was a couple of yoga mats as well. However, most reasonably priced hotels in the area don’t have anything so this was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast has the usual Chinese options of some fried dishes, steamed “bread”, noodles and then boiled or fried eggs, sliced bread, some cereal, fruit, decent coffee. It was simple but good. You can definitely get a nutritious and filling breakfast here. There is a small shop/bar at the lobby that sells a good range of beer and snacks (like instant noodles etc). The prices are decent (12rmb for a beerlao). There is no lunch or dinner at the hotel but you can order in easily using meituan or Elema. The location of the hotel is peaceful and quiet. It is at the end of a ***** of hotels in the Gaozhuang area (main tourist area). The hotel provides a free shuttle service to the main restaurant / night market / tourist area and back to the hotel. To get back to the hotel you need to call and say where you are then they’ll come get you. It is a walkable distance though and would take about 10-15 mins. There are shops and restaurants on the way. The staff were very accommodating and even lent us a fruit knife when we bought some mangos.

Good location. It's about a 10 min walk to the night markets and you will pass many restaurants along the way. However, if you don't feel like walking they have a free shuttle! The hotel is a little outdated, but the rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. They serve a Chinese buffet breakfast, which is OK. It has a big swimming pool, but you must wear a swimming cap/hat. They also offer free airport pick-up. Overall, I would say it's good value for money.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel as a solo traveler. Everyone went out of their way to help me. The breakfast is okay.

Very happy with this hotel! Good service, good spacious rooms, they have a little car that takes you to places around (night market and other places if it’s close). Would recommend!

This hotel is located a little bit on the edge of Gaozhuang, quiet in the hustle and bustle!! (I really don’t recommend staying in the center of Gaozhuang, it’s very noisy at night) Although it’s not in the center, this hotel has a unique advantage, which is the super big swimming pool. The hotel🏨 is also a way of traveling. After playing in Gaozhuang during the day, it’s very enjoyable to go back to the hotel to swim🛟 and eat something at night! For its swimming pool, I really have to praise it a hundred times😷 - 🏠Rooms Every room in the hotel🏠 is carefully designed by the designer. The big bed is really super soft. The room is also equipped with a TV~ All kinds of daily necessities are also brand standard. There is a super large balcony in the room that can be used for check-in📸taking photos and seeing the super beautiful sunset🌅. Looking down at the swimming pool from the balcony is too good to take pictures~ Basically, every room type has a large terrace. I like this semi-open room type very much. The balcony can see the swimming pool downstairs. If you choose a suite, the view should be more open. I live in an ordinary double bed room, and the terrace makes me feel very comfortable. It’s a big terrace. In short, the overall stay experience is first-class!!

The hotel service is good, and many people took photos and checked in. The beautiful lady who cleaned the swimming pool has strong problem-solving ability. First of all, the location is really excellent. It is located next to Gaozhuang and very close to the Xingguang Night Market. You can reach it by strolling at night without worrying about traffic jams. Secondly, the hotel environment is full of Southeast Asian style! We were assigned a viewing room with a view of the Lancang River. The room also has a small balcony. The most memorable thing is the large swimming pool. In addition, the hotel's lounge is also very warm and comfortable. You can enjoy a moment of leisure time there after coming back from shopping every day. The enthusiastic service of the staff makes people feel at home. They will patiently guide you to check in and help you move your luggage. The front desk also provides free mineral water. The hotel's airport pick-up service is also very considerate. The driver will contact in advance to confirm the flight information, so that we have no worries at all. In general, this accommodation experience is really good and highly recommended to all friends who plan to go to Xishuangbanna!

The room was OK, and we upgraded it for free, but the hygiene was average, the breakfast was average, the facilities were old, and the location was far away from the night market and quiet. Fortunately, there was a sightseeing bus to pick us up, which was good, but the car rental service provided by the hotel was not good.
