Xishuangbanna Xixiangyuan Inn (Xishuangbanna Star Night Market) Reviews

Cosy and well located hotel, not exactly in the crowded center, but close enough to walk there. There's a tiny swimming pool, a little shallow for an adult but good enough to refresh after a hot day outside. The rooms are quite clean, however, mine didn't have a wardrobe, which was a bit inconvenient, and the water in the shower wasn't hot enough. I'm a foreigner who doesn't speak Chinese, but that wasn't a problem for the stuff, which was very friendly and helpful. They gladly recommended me local specialities and shared all the locations I asked for.

This is an overpriced hotel and it was dirty. To start with the reception area was littered in garbage. As we sat to check in there was a clutter of old take-away containers and dirty tissues, toe nail clippers and full ash trays. This continued for the 3 days we were there. The toilets did not work in our rooms, and when one got fixed eventually the other stopped working. Toilet seats were stained, and the room was not well cleaned. The hall ways looked like of a youth hostel or worse. The pictures of the hotel are deceptive. Highly recommend not staying here. The owner/manager was friendly, but we were really thinking we would have a nice hotel to spend our relaxing vacation. As it turns out it was not comfortable having to sort out so many issues. The beds are also pretty hard and the pillows were old. The teenage son sleeps by the pool which was also very odd. Finally there was yelling in the early morning by some people who live at the hotel. It was not pleasant to listen to so many screams that resembled domestic violence.

Great location! Nice pool and friendly owner! They let us use the machine to do laundry and gave suggestions on some things to do in the area.

This place was dirty, really dirty. We had to burn incense to mask the smell from the toilet. We had to ask for the floor to be cleaned. Really disappointing. The manager was nice and said sorry for everything but it was overall disappointing. I didn’t take any photos.

I specially took a look at this house, which was installed in 2013. I feel that it might be okay if it is newer. The main reason is that the small swimming pool in the picture looks good. I thought that children might like it. I stayed in the old town for one night and went to the zoo for a walk. I will stay at this hotel when I go to scenic spots in the next few days. When I checked in, I was told that I couldn't accommodate them. I had to arrange to go to the hotel opposite Beiwei. I felt uncomfortable at the beginning. It seemed that this was a bit dishonest. It's not good to just leave temporarily and take the children with you. It was so convenient, so I went to live there. Seeing the facilities, I felt that the price of more than 300 was not as good as the one in the old town last night. I was thinking that this place was taken by the Starlight Night Market. It felt so good. I went out to play the next day, at 9 in the morning It's too late, make a phone call, and ask me to change the room to the parent-child room on the second floor (good for consumers), I said no, the things were scattered all over the place, confiscated, and I said I would wait for her to ask, no I know what to ask. After a while, I called and told me that the person who cleaned up the room can put it away for me. Well, Shinobu, you can change it if you want, but is it really a good business to do this? Traveling, mood is very important , Forget it, if the privacy of the thing is offended, it will be offended. If she agrees to take it and move it, what other bad things will happen if she disagrees. This is not happy after spending money. Other projects are okay. Money, I don't think it's disgusting. If there is a next time, I will live in the old city, and I want to go somewhere to take a taxi or take a bus. The bus in Banna is indeed less crowded. I took the 4th bus twice, and there is air conditioning. And Banna is not big. I would like to add that they are all floor tiles, and the first day I live in is carpeted.

The room is clean and tidy, the facilities are complete, the boss and the shop assistants are very friendly, the location is also very good, it is very convenient to go everywhere! Very nice inn, praise praise!

Advantages: 1) The location is within the Gaoxi Scenic Area. 2) The little brother and girl at the front desk have a very good attitude. Disadvantages: 1) The pick-up is not on time, the inn platform called Didi. It is suggested that in the future, the inn might as well ask the guests to make Didi reimbursement by themselves. 2) 0.45 points were woken up by the takeaway knocking on the wrong door twice. The washing machine is shared. There is no elevator on the 4th floor. Tourists with suitcases are ready to lift it up by themselves. The roof is leaking, the wall is peeling off, and the swimming pool is not very clean.

The owner of the inn is a northern couple who checked in on the 27th for five days and checked out today on New Year's Day. The inn is very comfortable and clean.
