The front desk was enthusiastic during this trip. I was fortunate to stay at this hotel. It was really a very pleasant experience! From the moment I stepped into the hotel door, I was deeply moved by the warm and thoughtful service here.
The front desk staff smiled, the check-in was quick and efficient, and also intimately introduced me to the hotel's facilities and surrounding tourist attractions. During my stay, whether it was room service or catering service, every employee showed a high professionalism and enthusiasm, which made me feel the warmth of home.

1. In a new hotel, the rooms in the corridors still have a large smell of decoration. I hope to open more windows to diffuse the smell;
2. The downstairs of the hotel is being renovated. It started knocking on things at 6 o'clock in the morning, and the mechanical equipment made noise at 8 o'clock, which affected sleep;
3. The sound insulation of the hotel wall is not good, and the noise of the passing cars on the road 50 meters away is relatively loud;
4. There are no convenience stores around the hotel and no need to drive out;
5. The room type booked on Ctrip is obviously 6-9 floors, but the front desk gives you 6-7 floors. I hope to make it clear on Ctrip;

First let me say it’s my second time staying in this hotel. The location in proximity to the Yiwu market is perfect, 50 meter walk. I didn’t eat at the hotel as there are plenty of great eateries, like Sultan Turkish restaurant, amazing food and service! Oh yeah, back to the hotel. Well, one problem is consistent with both of my stays, the air conditioning unit barely blows cold air. Solution, they brought me a fan. Better than nothing, but I would have preferred to have been offered another room, a discounted rate or a free breakfast. I travel a lot and from my experiences those are fairly standard offers. Included a few photos, one is the distance from the market to the hotel and a few of Sultan, the restaurant.

I loved my stay at Holiday Inn Hotel Dongyang!
The hotel is right across Qin Palace, and also close to Dream Valley so if you arrive in Hengdian early, you will be able to go to two Hengdian sites in one day.
Thank you to all the kind staff who helped me, even though there was a language barrier, still they were able to make my stay in Hengdian way fun! Kevin helped me check in earlier than what was noted in the reservation. Winter, who works during the graveyard shift helped me figure out the shooting location of a drama that is not in Hengdian, and Wendy Guo helped me connect with a Didi driver and let me order food via her phone.
The food choices are good since I'm not really familiar with Chinese cuisine. I was able to stuff myself up before going out. You have to eat a heavy breakfast as the Hengdian sites are huge, loads of walking to do!
The hotel is also like 10-15 minutes away (by car) to the Ming-Qing Palace metro station.

SShaneA very nice and spacious room with a comfortable bed and a great open view of the park and the mountains. The rooms have modern controls for the lights as well as motorized curtains, which made for convenience both when going to sleep and waking up in the morning. It was also nice that a phone charging cable with the three different adapters was provided. The bathroom is spacious and has a large sink and shower. It is nice that the shower has a choice of rainfall or regular nozzle. The shower controls were also very modern and you merely pushed the button for your preferred shower method. It seemed that the guest before me was unaware of this and had broken the temperature control and not reported it to the hotel. The front desk was quick to send a repair person who was very thorough in fixing the control. While the shower had good water pressure, it seemed at peak times that there was not enough hot water as the shower temperature was just slightly warm. To get a hot shower, I had to wait until late in the afternoon or late at night.
The checkin was fast and the attendant was kind enough to honour my request for a non-smoking room on a high floor. The lobby is spacious with a nice tea area. It is also convenient to have a Starbucks inside the hotel. However, it was a bit noisy as other guests were not always mindful of the calibre of hotel they were in, which ranks in the 5 star category. It was difficult to try to get some work done with people playing videos loudly on their phones, talking on speaker phone or kids running around. This really took away from what should be a calming space. While the hotel attendants tried to maintain order, it really was a losing battle for them.
The location is really dependent on what you are looking for. I found it nice to have the open park view but there are not many interesting restaurants around. For the middle eastern food, you need to bike about 1.5km. This was fine when the weather was good, but it was not convenient during the latter part of my stay when it rained all day.
A few things to be aware of when booking. The breakfast was large with a lot of options but it really is a Chinese style breakfast. To call it Western and Chinese is quite misleading as there were only a few Western options, such as omelets. There is a great large screen television in the room, but only 2 or 3 English channels with the others in Chinese. There is a shuttle bus to the market, but it was a bit disappointing to learn that it only runs twice per day.
The main area for the hotel to work on is its consistency of service. Some of the employees were outstanding but there seems to be a need for additional training. For example, the room came with a complimentary daily minibar, but I had to ask each day for it to be refilled. This was quite embarrassing to do, especially when the stocking was just some soft drinks with a single Tsingtao beer. Also, when I was in the toilet, one of the chefs walked out without washing his hands. While he may have washed them (hopefully) when he returned to the kitchen, he should be sure to wash them in front of guests. Lastly, the pool and fitness area seemed to require special access and the people working at the desk for the pool made me feel very uncomfortable when I wanted to see the facilities, so I just left and did not return. This was particularly disappointing because one of the reasons I booked the hotel was for these facilities.
Overall it is a very nice hotel and I would book it again. But additional employee training would be appropriate so the service does not take away from what is a high quality hotel.

GGuest UserEvery time I come to Pujiang, I stay at Tan Palace. There is a lake in front of the hotel and a mountain behind it. The surrounding environment is very good. It rains a little. Xianhua Mountain in the distance is shrouded in clouds and mist, full of fairy spirit. The hotel is decorated in a grand manner. The front desk attitude is super good, warm and thoughtful. The hotel breakfast is from 7 am to 10 am. The breakfast is quite rich. The hotel has two-person and three-person bicycles, which are suitable for couples and families to play around the lake. There is also a water park next to it. Because it is May Day, the weather is still cold, so I didn’t go there. I will bring my children to experience it during the summer vacation.

OOtoyaWe chose this hotel because of its non-smoking policy [a lot of hotels in this town allow guests to smoke in the room]. We spent one day in a suite and one day in a 2-bed ”mountain view” room [view from our windows in the pictures] The 2-bed room was huge, 120cm beds, no fridge. The suite seemed bigger in the photos, nice, with a fridge and very big bathroom. Both rooms with A.C., both equipped with a universal charger, a tea set with 2 bottles of water 0,5l each, both with intelligent Xiao Du light, courtains, tv and wc system, windows equipped with mosquito nets. ”Mountain view” and some photos suggest 'Zen' style high end neighbourhood, but in reality it is a very, very regular chinese neighbourhood. There is only chinese name on the hotel building I think. We arrived one hour before the check-in time and get the room without any problem. The young female receptionist was extremely helpful and polite, used the translator app to communicate. She helped us to buy the right tickets and a hotel menager accompanied us to the nearest ticket office. The hotel is very close to the Qin palace and Dream Valley. There are 2 tourist bus lines (A and B) connecting most of the scenic spots, every 30 min, a ticket costs 2 r.m.b. one can pay in cash in the bus, this bus service stops about 4.30 p.m. Apple maps app works OK, google maps app does not work in China. We took a taxi from Yiwu station (1 hour) to get to the hotel, 170 r.m.b. and about 43 km one way if one goes the shortest way or 220 r.m.b. and about 63 km via highway, a taxi from Qingming palace costs about 20 r.m.b. There is an annual ticket for 898 r.m.b., this ticket is for one adult plus one child or just one adult - all 13 scenic spots included [Dream Valley excluded], one can enter each scenic spot only once a day. I think 2 scenic spots in one day is a max, maybe 3 because most of the spots closes about 4.30 p.m., only one or two are closing about 8 p.m. There is no printed ticket only passport data in their system so you enter by showing the passport.The Hengdian Studios I think are not prepared for foreign tourists at all. Their printed map is very small, hard to read, does not show enter gates or ticket offices, their website is not helping, in theory there is an English version but with very little information, the chinese website is better but still not very helpful, there is no list of all 13 scenic spots or the opening hours, only information about the major ones.

JJean-PierreSecond time in 3 weeks that we booked and stayed at this hotel. It is one of the best hotels that we have stayed at. We will come back again. We stayed in a Superior Queen Room looking onto a big lake which was very beautiful. We went to the pool and had a sauna as well. Breakfast was great and supper also looked great but we did not eat supper there. One disappointing thing was the Costa coffee that we had while waiting for our Didi. It was ice cold and cost a lot of money. The free coffee at breakfast was better than that, so I would not recommend that(maybe it was just my bad luck).

I was staying here for the first time .Mr. Liu Levy checked in and out for us. and an important factor of my choice was definitely the proximity to many important points . The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the bazar, opposite the Mall, close to numerous restaurants, close to the office building of the agency I work with. It was an extremely pleasant stay and I will definitely come back.

DDashanI think, expensive hotels like this are booked so we have flawless stay in places where we have language barrier. Here, no one can speak communicative english.
We had booked delux suit, they said they uograde us to better room and when we reach the room, we got was loft room, climb up the stairways. Reach the room entrance and that floor only had small siting area, like a guest sitting adea and a small guest waahroom and bedroom, closets, waahroom, bathtub, library kind of area, all were on the upper floor. The stairways was on almost double the height.
We had booked for 1 night, we had been there for an event and we had checked in at 7 pm to attend an even at 8 and checkout the next day. It was of no use to go to the receiption and bang my head as for the language barrier and ask for change of room and explain a why i wanted to change.
A lavish breakfast, but no vegetarian food. This isnt a complaint as it is their wizh but such a huge property should consider and also the food should be well labled. And at last, they are big, 1738 rmb a night, should have proper english speaking team.
Well the loft room looked like as if not been occupied for ling time. Also some places has lot of dust.

I had a zoom meeting next day morning and i happned to use rhe writing deak, the chair was broken, not stable and i am sure they just woukd have fitten the chair well inside rhe desk as if no one will use.

By the ways, the rate at the counter (direct booking) is 150 RMB a night. It can get you slightly late check out etc unlike online booking. The location is okay. Depends where and what you wish to do. I came purely for travel. Lots of local Chinese restaurants in the area behind the hotel. I have to say 90 percent of the guests look sad and unfriendly. Most are from the middle east and don't even smile or appear friendly. So the place lacks vibe due to all these fat pigs in the lobby with their agents. The cheapest room you pick will most likely be on the 8th floor (same as where breakfast is served). Breakfast was okay. I wasn't amused. I mean taste wise nothing memorable but countwise variety. The carpets that are often mentioned in reviews are actually noticeable. Stained from ages. The rooms are kind of run down too. But they clean timely, toilets do have a health faucet and hot water. AC is old school, bed about average but might be worth the price. Although later on I did find something slightly nicer for the same price. But I won't rate this as a bad place. A day or two is going to be alright.

GGuest UserThe hotel is next to Zhuge Bagua Village. I personally think that the price is really high. The environment is also good. It may be that there is no popularity in the off-season. I mainly pass by. Otherwise, it is OK to ask friends to come here to play.
