Chandra Imperial

The surroundings were good, quiet. The room was very well maintained and hygienic. The staff was very friendly, kind and also explained to us about the places we should be visiting during the stay. The food was too good, yummy and we ate a stomach ful.

Hotel give just two 200ml water bottles it's not enough for 1 day, and they give ro water in flask but water not good some smells.

This is a terrific hotel in some respects but not so good in others. The service is great and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The food is absolutely fine including the (included) breakfasts. Where the hotel falls down, is with the quality of the building. This is a very new hotel but it looks as though it has been built to a price and not a standard. Much of what is wrong could have been rectified with proper checks prior to occupancy but this has not been done. Things like huge gaps in bathroom tiles that have been badly filled with silicon, manufacturer’s labels left on fittings, faulty bathroom door latch, fridge power point that caused the power in the room to be off most of the night and the back of the bathroom door that has not been painted but left with dirty undercoat exposed. The worst thing is the number of broken windows. The hotel is double glazed but many of the outer panes of glass are broken. I was told this is due to movement. One would think that having appropriate expansion gaps in windows would be engineering 101. This standard of construction does not inspire confidence! Could I be outside waiting for transport when another window let go? Who knows, but it not nice to even consider the possibility. One other bugbear was the fact that there is only one small lift. When we arrived about three bus loads of children had arrived and it took forever to get the lift. I have mobility issues so the stairs are quite hard for me to handle. All in all it was a nice stay and I would probably stay here again as I liked the service and the location.

With minor improvements, it could easily reach a 5-star rating. I would recommend it and look forward to visiting again!
