DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. WORST EVER EXPERIENCE WITH STAFF & MANAGEMENT of this HOTEL. I had booked two Superior Class Rooms in this Hotel for my family(incl. Sr. Citizen Parents, 1.5 and 5 year old kids) through Goibibo website on 9th Nov, 2023 and got booking confirmation on same day. Duration of Stay was between 28th & 29th Nov. I was travelling from Jaipur to Jodhpur on 28th Nov and I called to this Hotel at around 12:30 PM to inform that I am travelling and will check in late evening and the receptionist said OK. We reached at Hotel Reception around 8:30 PM in and told receptionist about my booking, he said rooms will be ready in 10 minutes and asked us to wait. After few minutes, another staff member came there and he informed us that due to some electricity issue rooms are not available at their Hotel and they have made rooms available at another Hotel(Named as Megh Niwas or Clarks Inn) which is 1 to 1.5 km away. We then moved to that Hotel with Staff but noticed that Hotel was located in very small lanes and which was 3 km away and not on highway location like City Square. The Manager of Citi Square By Keymagic Hotel was already present at that other Hotel. He told us that due to some Technical Issues they are shifting all their guest to this Hotel which is Heritage Property and Rooms are of similar or higher category than those booked by me in their Hotel. After looking at the rooms in this Hotel, I felt that we are cheated by Staffs of City Square. Rooms were not cleaned, there was no ventilation inside room, some kind of bad smell was coming from rooms as it seems those were NOT Cleaned for several months.(See the attached photos clicked in Bathrooms) I told Manager of Hotel City Square that we did not like rooms and we want rooms in their Hotel itself. He denied saying he can not give rooms in City Square as no room available there and can not help us. It was around 9:45 pm in clock and I then called customer care of Goibibo to informed them hardships faced by me and my family. I informed Goibibo representative that Staff Members of Hotel City Square lied with me several times and did not keep their commitments towards customer. I asked the representative to contact manager of Hotel and request to make room available at City Square only but again Manager did not agree. Then I told Goibibo representative that I can stay in Hotel Megh Niwas on condition that Hotel City Square should refund 50% of amount paid by me as compensation because quality of rooms in that Hotel was below average. But this proposal was also rejected by Manager of the City Square. As I was with family and kids and it was already 10:30 pm I did not want to do follow up more and hence told Goibibo that I will check in Hotel Megh Niwas. I moved towards reception area of the Hotel for check in & suddenly Manager of City Square told me that I CAN'T CHECK-IN now as my booking has been cancelled by them. I was shocked to hear it. You never quite know what you may be getting when you stay at a small, locally owned hotel. Sure, you can read reviews and look at pictures, but you never *really* know until you get there. I’ll get into the hotel itself in a moment, but the main benefit this place has going for it are its owners. They are kind and chatty, and aren’t just concerned about you having a good stay at their hotel, but a good stay in their city. They’re more than happy to sit and talk about where you should go, and are very interested in helping you understand the culture of the place you’re in. One of the owners said he’d come and sit with me at the restaurant on the roof while I ate, and he did. He even offered to go walking around one of the neighborhoods with me. I cannot emphasize how important this is. When you’re in a place like India for the first time, it’s absolutely vital that you have helpful people to lean on a bit. I don’t mean that in an “India is dangerous” kind of way, but in an “India can be completely confusing and difficult to comprehend” way. I would regularly come back with questions about things I saw while wandering, and not only were the owners willing to answer them, but they seemed genuinely excited by the opportunity to help me understand the culture of their city and their country. As for the hotel itself, it’s clean and comfortable. One thing you have to understand is that this is an old building, in the old part of the city — and those are GOOD things. Yes, there are more “western” style hotels in newer buildings in Jodhpur. There’s even one that’s under the Marriott umbrella. But if you want to stay at a Marriott, you can do that at home. And more importantly, those hotels are not in the old city, and that’s where you’re going to be spending your time. The Kings Retreat is right in the midst of it, and it was helpful to just be able to spend 15 minutes walking back to the room to take a shower or rest for a bit. As I said, this is an old building. It’s what’s called a “haveli” — typically an old mansion with a central courtyard you’ll find in many cities in India. So yes, there are some quirks like old doors or having to turn on a water heater and wait a few minutes before you take a shower. To me, this is all part of the experience. And the owners have done a great job with modernizing the building. I’m sure there’s a lot of regulations when it comes to making changes to a historic property, and I was a bit concerned at first when I walked into the room and found it hot — but let me tell you, that air conditioner is ice cold and blows like a tornado if you want it to. Yes, you’ll probably have to switch into a tuk-tuk with your luggage when you get close to the building, as the streets are quite narrow. I promise you, this is totally fine and normal. And yes, there’s no elevator, since this is an old building. But I was upstairs and it made no difference. There’s a guy there who’s very used to carrying bags up the steps.

The interior is beautiful and nice, which you wouldn't expect from the quiet, inconspicuous exterior. (The entrance is up a narrow, rather steep slope, so it may not be suitable for people with walking problems.) And anyway, the location is great in the middle of the Blue City, and the night view from the rooftop restaurant and the music were all great!! There is an elevator, a hair dryer, a fan in the bathroom, and the shower water pressure and temperature were so comfortable that you wouldn't think you were in India. The Rajasthan crafts selection in the shop on the first floor was also great, and the prices were much cheaper than buying them at a souvenir shop, so I recommend it♪ The hotel owners were also very kind and nice. This quality at this price, I definitely recommend it ^_^

I thought it was a bit pricey for a dormitory, but since it accommodates up to 4 people, it would be a good choice if you have a lot of people traveling with you. Otherwise, I think a single or double room would be a better choice than a dormitory. Representative places worth visiting include the unique style well, clock tower, Mehrangarh Fort, Pachetia Hill, and Kim Mohan Restaurant, all within a 20-minute walk at most. It was a street. There are a lot of cheap accommodations around the castle, but this one is also an attractive accommodation. (I only took pictures of the door of the accommodation, but not the bed. There were two bunk beds stretched out against the wall and a bathroom. The hot water was great and the air conditioner was working well. It came out well, it was spacious for two people, but I feel like it might be a bit narrow for four people)

I love everything about this place. It was the second time I stayed there, and both times Anshul and the entire family has been so welcoming. The rooms would be good value at twice the price - you're in the heart of the old city, in amazingly decorated rooms with huge, comfortable beds. The balcony has some of the best views in the city, and the food and drink is amazing - if you're offered dinner, please don't say no! Thank you everyone at this fantastic hotel. I can't wait to stay again.

We had booked this hotel during Diwali, The rooms were perfect and neat and clean, hotel has already placed some Diwali gifts and sweets with GM's personal wishing note, sweets were so delicious and want d to buy but got to know that same has been prepared in house. Breakfast was excellent with choices and chef himself came to us to check our satisfaction and what else you want when you are treated with so personal services. Hotel has organised Diwali celebration just outside the lobby where fire crackers and lotbof other stuffs been provided to all hotel staying guests and it was simply best experience I have ever had. I would recommend this hotel to all and we will certainly come again next time. Thanks a lot team The Fern Residency Jodhpur!!!

We had an excellent stay at Umaid Bhavan this past weekend. Right from the moment we entered for check-in, we were escorted warmly all the way to the time we left the property. I don't think I've been fed like this for a while! Kudos to the chefs & the team for such a wonderful dining experience. The room upgrade was something we did not expect & it blew our mind. A big shout out to Swaroop Singh, Rajveer & Malvika for their detail to attention & wonderful hospitality. The spa & pool facilities were top notch. We left very special throughout our stay. The last day was made extra special by handing us the local delicacies like Mirchi vadas & Pyaaz kachoris. Thank you very much for such a memorable stay! We hope to return again soon.

We went to Jodhpur for Staycation and this Royal Palatial Property made our stay Ecstatic. We stayed mostly in the property as it has many things to explore right from beautiful swimming pool, lake view sitting, stables, mini golf experience and what not.. Someone who loves nature, birds, etc should definitely plan a stay as. A mesmerizing experience of extremely humble staff, good food, nature & impressive palatial room with Antiques. Do plan a visit.

Hotel service is very good. I left the laptop in the hotel. I found the computer disappeared the next day in Udaipur. After two or three days, I contacted the hotel and found it. The hotel found a car to drive from Jodhpur to Udaipur. Give it to me (of course, the cost is our own and it is higher than the cost of finding a car outside, but still let the hotel find a solid, after all, is a valuable item), hand in hand to find the package is very good, the driver is also very responsible. Special thanks to the hotel's service staff. The location of the hotel is indeed too far from the city. Ola is about 260 rupees to the main scenic spot. We have a car at the time of the call, but it is so uncertain whether it is always a good car.
