The reception/ front desk was closed for most of our stay. This made our time at mango house difficult when trying to get bedding, book taxis, find a place to leave luggage. No details for internet access in the room. The supermarket over the road didn’t have any fresh produce. The swimming pool was too dirty to swim in. But the Cockatoos visiting on the balcony were amazing. Great TV.

We absolutely loved staying at Mango House. It’s only a 5 minute bus ride to Airlie Beach centre and has a supermarket, cafe and post office just across the street from it. The room was amazing - as backpackers we were very excited to see a washer and a dryer to use for free! The pool and garden are lovely too. 10/10 would recommend. Pam, the owner, was an gem and even dropped us at the bus stop to catch our greyhound bus.

I couldn't sleep because of the noise of the washing machine or dryer next door all night, and the sound insulation is not very good. The room is also relatively small. Fortunately, the old lady of the landlord looks nice, so we stayed for another night. It is very convenient to travel here. It takes only 5 minutes to drive to the airport and the pier. There is a small supermarket opposite and a big supermarket nearby.

The apartment is equipped with a kitchen, pots and pans, making cooking very convenient. A washer dryer and drying rack are provided. It is 2km away from the pier and there is a bus at the door. The airport bus picks up and drops off at the hotel, which is very convenient.

The location is enough to get to the main beach in 5 minutes by car!! Amenities are only about soap and towels, but if you use the kitchen, I recommend using something that can be cooked in a microwave or coffee pot, or go out to eat 😅

Because the hotel is not on the main street, it is relatively deserted

The best above all the other self-contained apartments that stayed in all my life in Australia and New Zealand. I will definitely stay there if I travel that way to the Whitsundays again in future.

Property Manager is friendly and helpful. We stayed only one night and all went very well for us. We will stay again here.

I think Mango House would have been good ten years ago. The rooms need upgrading as does the pool. The rooms are spacious enough (we had a one bedroom apartment). There was three of us, husband, wife and teenage daughter. We booked a one bedroom apartment with queen bed and double sofa bed. There was no sofa bed. It was a built in sofa that could apparently be slept in. Like two small single size I guess? Definitely not what you would expect when booking a double sofa bed…something that pulls out to make a double bed. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher. On check in it was mentioned that a cleaner had quit that morning so probably done in a hurry. The good…separate toilet to bathroom (although not sure why exhaust fan was in toilet and not bathroom) and washer/dryer. Kitchen had everything you need. And good quality toilet paper! We bring our own but didn’t have to use it! 😂 Both times we went to the office (to get pool towels and check out) we were going to ask about sofa bed but both times the lady was on speaker phone to family it seemed and didn’t seem to want to hang up and serve customers. We were a bit disappointed but we booked late and this was what was available and it was good value compared to other places. With some improvements it could be a lovely place.

Stayed in a 2broom apartment with my family of four in December 2023. Very good apartments for families because it has everything that a family needs while in Whitsunday/Airlie Beach/Jubilee Pocket. Pam was very friendly providing customer service to us/her customers. Thank you Mango Tree Motel

We had a lovely stay, could not fault the accommodation or device. However, it is on a main road and is very noisey if you are staying on the roadside of the accommodation.

The units were spacious unlike the tiny room in the luxury hotel we were booked into in Airlie Beach. We absolutely enjoyed the lovely owner/manager, the beautiful gardens and the lovely large pool. Airlie beach was a short bus trip away and the buses came every 20 minutes or so. There was also a tavern across the road that could cook real blue steaks.

The Mamager was rude and unhelpful, the beds we’re on hard wood and very uncomfortable. When asking if she could move us to another room she was very rude and not happy to assist. Would never stay there again
