It's a lovely plush premier hotel for sure as the name suggests. Excellent staff especially check in personnel Ms.Mehreen who helped us with an early check in. All the other staff were excellent too. Location was great with Junagadh railway station just around a km away. The check in was very smooth and fast and early as mentioned. Room was quite spacious , comfortable and cosy with all amenities and features. Beautiful view of the girnar hills where we did the girnar trek to visit all temples of Ambaji Mata , Gorakhnath Temple , Lord Dattatreya Temple and Dattareya Kund and Akhand Dhuni. We had ordered food and it was excellent too. Everything was top class and we had a calm, peaceful, restful 2 days stay.

Portico Sarovar is my favourite hotel in Junagadh area. I have stayed before as well. Food is authentic and excellent quality in Flavours 9. Staffs are amazing. Great service and we were looked well by Labani. Gopal , Ireland ………………………………………………………………..

Probably due to Diwali holidays : overcrowded hotel, difficult to find a place to sit in the restaurant (some people had to go in another room), no personal service (eg no omelette, whereas in other Sarovar hotels this is no problem). Overcrowded swiming pool as well (Counted about 40 people all dressed in the pool, no place to get inside!). Other problem, but resolved by changing rooms, our room had connecting doors, consequently it was like having neighbours in your own room. May be a family hotel but do not go there as a couple!. Nothing to visit either, GONDAL palace or temples of little interest (compared to palace in Vadodara, or temples elswhere)
