Amazing

Nice and modern hotel with good breakfast, but not 5*... cheap toiletries and single use plastic items in the rooms; rooms overall basic and no robes. Pool area is cozy, but opens late (11 am). The sea never closes though and the beach is just in front of the property. Staff very kind and helpful. Easy to park at the premises. Walking distance to marina of Kalamata, but a bit too far to reach the old town - car is recommended. Very reasonable and good restaurant is also available on premises.

Excellent service, but I suggest you rethink the spa pool policy in the low season. The outside pool was closed for the winter, and no point in booking a more expensive room with an attached private pool (unheated), which leaves the downstairs spa pool. Charging guests to use this for 45-minute sessions meant the pool was empty and unavailable for a spontaneous dip. Perhaps instead, you can allow a limited number of guests to use the pool at any one time. Location: There's a well-lit path into town, but it's a LONG walk. The hotel was very helpful in arranging a taxi. Breakfast was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive.

The facilities and service are very good! However, in a 5-star hotel, it is unthinkable not to renew the batteries in the remote control, the mechanism for opening the door (we were told it needed a charging device), we found ourselves outside the room trying to see why the cards did not open (no, they had not been magnetized). And in a 5-star hotel you renew the water in the fridge He didn't have a bathrobe Very nice spaces Nice breakfast...but in a 5-star hotel, the detail makes the difference

Great location, great hospitality, excellent breakfast and food in the 24 hour restaurant and bar. Right next to the sea on a nice, clean and organized beach. It has a very nice large swimming pool and a very organized Spa.

Very nice hotel, very warm welcome by the staff. We booked a nice and quit Deluxe Room with side view to the sea. The room category was big, the King size bed very comfortable and outside there was a huge terrace. The rooms are in separated buildings from the reception. In the afternoon we booked the SPA doing first the Indoor Pool then the Hammam and finally massages. Everything was perfect in a quiet and relaxing ambiance. The SPA is small and therefore it's necessary to book in order to get exclusivity. The staff of the SPA was very professional and friendly. The breakfast was amazing with good quality of cold, warm and sweet dishes. The service was very attentive. The evening before we planned to eat in the restaurant but we were a little bit disappointed because some dishes were not available so we dined in the city. We had a pleasant stay but if we can suggest something, could be more perfect if the bar and the restaurant would have two separate ambiances and not together like it is currently.

Our preferred 'go to' in Kalamata. It's peaceful, well maintained, and staffed by extremely helpful and efficient staff. The pool area and gardens are excellent, and very relaxing. Food is very good...evening meals are casual and relaxed, and breakfast is sumptuous, tasty and more than ample

Had 5 nights at the Elysian in September 2024. The hotel is set out of town a bit (5 mins by taxi) so is pretty quiet, which suited us perfectly. Loved the hotel, very chilled vibe throughout, rooms were always clean and everything worked as it should. Breakfast was good, with choices of cold and hot every day. Used the pool area most days, and again this was very chilled and never busy. All staff were very friendly and spoke great english (certainly much better than my Greek). Basically not a bad word to say about the place, we had a lovely time. Not much around the hotel so need to have a car, or use taxi's to get anywhere, the latter being cheap and easy to arrange through reception.

We went late June and we had one of those rooms with the private pool. Of course, like all hotels now days, the beds for the kids where in the living room. The one was the sofa and the other was a not that comfortable single bed. The bedroom was large and so was the bed. Still, I do not understand why the pillows only came in one size, large. The bathroom was big enough with a nice walk in shower. There was a big closet for clothes, but a really small refrigerator. I mean you could not fit a large water bottle in there. Like in many hotels, they offered free coffee but like no good hotel I have been to lately, they offered filter coffee not espresso. Not good filter coffee, and that goes for the tea too. Another disappointment. The small yard with the pool was nice, but accessible by others. I mean, there you are swimming or just lying there with your family, and there were people going through the far end of the yard. Why? I can understand for safety reasons, but that is why there was another entrance from the pool side. Our yard and pool where exposed to the sun all day. An umbrella would have been useful. The pool was big enough for the kids and you can have lots of fun. But the cleaning system was not on all the time. Thus, if you wanted to take swim early in the morning or late at night, then you had to swim with leaves, dead bugs and little trash. Furthermore, the door that gave access to the pool's mechanism was not locked, so everyone had access to it, even kids. Now, let me say that I am complaining a bit because this is a relatively new 5 star hotel, and one should have expectations for it, especially with the money required. Let me continue. In general, the room was clean and comfortable. The wifi was OK as far as speed and stable, but the password was not safe enough. Also, it is 2024, so USB outlets are a must. The hotel pool was nice and big enough. There was enough space for everybody and there was distance between the umbrellas. There was also a life guard, that also served as the man in charge of the towels, but also a very pleasant and friendly individual. But the sunbeds were from the 1980s and not comfortable, while some of the chairs were broken. That was unacceptable. The beach bar/restaurant was nice enough. There was a wide selection of things to drink and eat, and the prices were reasonable, while the portions were large. The only thing we did not like was the freddo cappuccino, but taste is a relative thing. Now, I cannot say the same about the breakfast. Although there was a wide selections on things to eat and drink, the quality was not always good enough. And if someone from the hotel is reading this, if you offer pancakes, that you should have maple syrup. I mean they had, but I had to ask for it every day. The people working there were really friendly, eager to help, and despite their obvious workload they were not grumpy. And this was the only thing that was 5 star. The hotel is situated at the

We booked 2 rooms next to each other, one had a huge balcony where we could jointly drink an aperitif. Rooms are nicely decorated, beds are good. Big pool with a separate pool for the younger kids. The beach is just outside the hotel area where you could use the sunbeds and parasols from the hotel and there is service offered as well. Excellent breakfast buffet, fresh fruit, juice and everything you wish for. Hotel is just outside the busy area, however close enough to the interesting places in town. Staff in general is really great and gentle, especially the ladies from the reception which were extremely helpful. We were offered a late check out before heading back to Athens airport. This was the cherry on the cake!

We stayed one night and moved to another hotel. We booked a junior suite with private pool. The suite was a room, not a suite, and the pool was unheated, therefore unusable. We returned to the room after dinner and found we could not cool the room. We called the front desk. It turned out that only heat was available and that in order to cool the room, we needed to open the slider, which was not ideal from a safety perspective. There was no option for a fan. There were also dogs barking (which the hotel had no control over). We slept with the slider open and in the middle of the night someone burned sage or something else near the slider, which woke us again. We were told we could not be partially refunded for the inconveniences and promised a gift certificate for a massage at a later date (but have not yet received it). We then returned to the room and were locked out due to a malfunctioning electronic key system. I’m not sure why they could not give us a partial refund as this is fairly common when things don’t go well at hotels.

Beautiful hotel, with a special design. The rooms are new, beautiful and quiet. Staff are very polite and attentive. Also, the food is high quality and value for money both at breakfast and in room. I would definitely recommend it!
