Hillock villa is walking distance to local market of Kalaw and close to the click tower. They serve an awesome breakfast in the garden if the weather allows! The beds are comfortable, and the room is spacious with one double and one single bed. The bathroom had a bathtub, but to take a shower was a bit hard as the shower hose was not very long for us tall foreigners 😉
Parking can be a challenge as the road is steep and the parking place is not big enough to easily turn your car.
We enjoyed our stay very much and for sure book again next time in Kalaw!

The hotel compound was smaller than my expectation. I thought I would be surrounded by a mini forest without any concrete, but, unfortunately, it didn’t turn out that way. I made a direct reservation with the hotel, so, I saved a few dollars from the trip. The room is nice and cozy. Always cooler than the outside temperature. The bed is very comfortable. Spacious bathroom, too. Breakfast menu is limited. You can choose 1 main dish per day from 4 main menus, and they provide side dishes for you. If you stay long, it could become tougher for you to eat almost the same meal every day. We stayed there for 5 days, so it was just ok for us (right before becoming tired of the breakfast menu). It is a 15 minute walk into town from the hotel. I think the hotel location is very good. I would definitely just lodge there every time I’m in Kalaw. This hotel really has Kalaw vibe. Highly recommended.

A super cozy, friendly and top service Hotel in Kalaw surrounded by beautiful mountains. Stayed there a couple of times and loved it. The team is fantastic (special thanks to the owners) really making your stay comfy and worryless. Amazing breakfast and kindness :-)!

Just spent a wonderful five days at Hillock Villa. My room was clean and comfortable with plenty of hot water and a balcony. Service was very good - most of the staff speak good English and they are very keen to help with trip arrangements etc. There is a good choice of mains for breakfast (local and international) with more than enough side dishes. The hotel is located 10 minutes walk from the town centre. I’ll definitely stay here again.
