The Garrison Inn a Montana Bed & Breakfast

The Garrison Inn is not to be missed. It is hard for me to decide what specific factors drive the excellence offered by the owners, but know that the owners offer a wonderful accommodation, a tremendous history as to how this excellence came to be, and hospitality that simply amazes me. And the two dogs are a welcoming committee and attentive companions for walks as well as sofa time. The inn sparkles with personal touches, every possible "want" is somehow met (maybe a dozen kinds of hot sauce one morning, when all I asked was for something to liven up the scrambled eggs?), and by all means take advantage of the opportunity to have dinner as well, and such a moderate added cost. The preparation, quality, and presentation of the evening meal should not be missed. And should you be interested in the building and the building process, be prepared to be amazed at what was accomplished here. Truly an amazing accommodation. Enjoy this excellence as soon as you can.

We stayed at the Loft at the Garrison Inn. My partner and I really enjoyed our time at the property. The drive up was so nice. You hit a little gravel road which made us feel like we were going to stay somewhere different from a traditional hotel room. We stayed for one night and upgraded our package to include dinner. My partner and I are huge animal lovers. They were excellent greeters and felt right at home cuddling with us and giving kisses. The dogs gave their services free of charge I might add! The back patio was our other favorite place. Chef Gene cooked dinner for us and it was really good. The view was outstanding and there were so many hummingbirds on the back patio. We had never seen so many and different varietals. The food was really good - I have to suggest the filet. It was a perfect medium rare. Chef Gene is also a talented wine maker. I enjoyed his red wine with my meal. The accommodations were nice and homey. It was a tad warm upstairs, but there were plenty of fans. We positioned a fan in front of the window and the cool air filtered in and cooled off the room. Montana had record heat when we were on our visit so it was nice to have the extra fans. I imagine a lot of homes in Montana are having to be creative with the heat. It got into the high 50s for a low when we stayed so it was comfortable by the time we went to sleep. Don't miss out on breakfast. The breads and the homemade huckleberry jam was so good! That was another great addition to the stay. We got to spend time with Chef Gene and AnnMarie. They have built a beautiful home.

Although our stay was very short, we had a wonderful time at the Garrison Inn. Anne Marie and Gene are wonderful hosts and their home is inviting and comfortable. We had an early flight out and they graciously got up early to see us off with coffee and breakfast burritos to go. Their two dogs are friendly and enthusiastic, which we appreciated as dog owners.

The Garrisons were exceptional hosts. They welcomed us into their home and made us very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The home is beautiful and the views breathtaking.

We had a fantastic experience at the Inn. Gene and Anne Marie are wonderful hosts who take excellent care of their guests. Gene is an excellent chef, his breakfasts and dinners were outstanding. The views of the mountains from the balcony were breathtaking, and we loved watching all the hummingbirds fight over the feeders. Their dogs Willow and Juneau were the perfect greeters and kept us company during our entire stay. And we appreciated Gene and Anne Marie allowing our son to stay with us at the Inn - that made our visit perfect.

It’s a lovely location. The views are stunning. Their 2 dogs greet you and enjoy attention from the guests. Accommodations are very comfy. A plus is the in-house chef Gene, one of the innkeepers. His breakfasts are delicious. And you can even order a sumptuous dinner there chosen from quite an extensive menu. Ann Marie is a very gracious host too. A perfect getaway for anyone interested in slowing down and relaxing!!

We enjoyed staying in this log constructed home with its amazing view of the valley. Wonderful hosts and superb breakfast.
