This place is a little paradise. The remote location, in between salt mines and the lagoon, surrounded by hundreds of palm trees is absolutely amazing. The chalet rooms and their outdoor bathrooms are gorgeous and very clean. As we were visiting in the off-season, the hotel was far from full. But this turned out to be the best thing ever: we had the azure pool for ourselves and the highly attentive, professional and polite staff fulfilled all our wishes and even more than that. All food leaving the chef’s kitchen is of a very high quality and simply delicious - try the curry crusted seabass. Last but not least, they have a stunning little rooftop bar at their kitesurfing center with views on the salt mines, the lagoon and the sea at the same time where they serve good cocktails. I recommend this amazing place more than every other hotel we visited on our 3-week tour. Simply amazing.

Außergewöhnlich gutes Essen. Wir wurden jeden Abend verwöhnt Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer mit Klimaanlage. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal, die einem jedem Wunsch von den Augen ablesen Sehr kinderfreundlich. Ruhig gelegen, um sich richtig erholen zu können. Die Kitestion ist auf der anderen Seite der Lagune und bequem mit dem Shuttleboot zu erreichen.

12 wonderful days in the Villa Setha Wadi in Kalpitiya! Thanks to the chef and his team for the exceptional food! The best fish dishes in all variations with that certain spicy something! Thanks to Sunil, who was available to answer all our questions and gave us great tips on the excursions! Thanks to Sam and team for all organizational matters! Thanks to Fujam for his tireless efforts in setting up and dismantling the kite, helping with the launch and with the boat transfer! Thanks to Imthikaf for his taxi service and the lots of information about the country and its people! Thanks to Bandara for an exceptional yoga class and a challenging and excellent massage! Thanks to Matt for the uncomplicated provision of the kite equipment and the always helpful and expert tips! Thanks for this relaxing stay! We will definitely have to come again! Beautiful, quiet place with lovely views of the lagoon. Not too easy to reach. Comfy cabanas with porch. Perfect service and the best food we had during our whole holiday! Highly recommended!

Fantastic place by the lagoon to calm down, clear the minde 💆🏊🧘🏻in harmony with nature or relaxe after kitesurfing or traveling around Sri Lanka. The villa very cozy, decor very tastefull. Amaizing food! Chef 5⭐️ Every dinner was like a little jorney in the world of taste and smell of Shri Lanka The best compliments for the staff as well. Very friedly, hearty and helpful 🤗 Worth to come back.

We decided to end our tour of Sri Lanka with Kalpitiya instead of Trincomalee because it was not the season. We arrived at this Resort and there. An atmosphere of well-being invaded us. The place is calm, relaxing, romantic and bohemian. The room with a view of the lagoon and its open bathroom is pleasant. The staff is both available and discreet. The wonderful chef. From breakfast to dinner. Canoes to reach the lagoon are very popular. The swimming pool with a view of the lagoon is also magnificent. The icing on the cake is the pontoon to admire the sunset. We recommend with your eyes closed.

A warm welcoming upon arrival. But due to a misunderstanding we were unable to stay unfortunately. The manager, Sam, was very understanding and didn’t charge us. Kitesurfers you’ll love this place! Room with great airconditioning when it is very hot, outside terrace, lounge and pool looked inviting.

Situated on Kalpitiya lagoon. Water pressure insufficient in the showers. Beautiful interiors and good location. Hats off to the chef…excellent biriyani and seafood platters. Don’t forget to enjoy a drink in the lagoon hut situated in the lagoon…

Villa Setha Wadi has become our favorite place to stay in Kalpitya. The small resort and the rooms are carefully designed to retain some classic Sri Lankan style with all modern amenities. A very versatile cook creates wonderful meals. The situation directly on the lagoon is perfect for watersports and excursions. A nice pool overlooking the Lagoon allows for perfect relaxation.
