We had a peaceful stay at The Villas Wadduwa by Amaya this November. Went there with our whole family crew (with 3 little kids) to celebrate my spouse's birthday. The Villas truly live up to the name and elegance with rich Sri Lankan traditional villas set up starting from the entrance itself. We reserved a suite villa and it was good. Comparatively small but had everything that we needed. I like the verandah opening towards the beach side. Kids had a great time playing in the sand and beach is just few meters away. Amazing view there. The next best thing was beautiful Plunge pool. It was quite spacious for our 3 kids to enjoy and i think it suits well for a couple too. Next good thing was their food and the flavours. Even though the spread was small, taste was truly good. Really love their stuff with beef and traditional Sri Lankan menus. so flavourful. Quite friendly F&B staff was there lead by Alex (F&B head) who is very helpful. Overall i can say the stay was good. We enjoyed it. Thank you The Villas Wadduwa team.

Exzellenter Service,freundliches und hilfsbereites Peronal, super abwechslungsreiche Küche mit regionalen, aber auch " normalen, europäisch angelehnten Speisen und Getränken, alles in allem ein Ort zum Entspannen und Wohlfühlen !

Wir waren mit Allem sehr zufrieden, Essen geschmacklich sehr lecker. Fragen oder sonstige Sonderwünsche wurden sofort und konkret umgesetzt. Durch die Natürlichkeit der Anlage fanden auch einige Bäume -gewollt- den Weg in das Bad. Sah toll aus. Ebenso konnten wir den Fischern beim täglichen Einholen des Fanges zusehen. Arrived and was given room with faulty A/C making loud grinding noises . Complained and moved me to another room next day with working A/C which I was thankful for. Mattress is good and firm , room is generally a 4 star I would say. Generally the hotel is good but unfortunately the food is not. The food quality is very poor, presentation is bad and the taste is bland. It’s also cold. There is also not enough choice . it’s all Buffet and the starters are very basic . With no effort put into presentation at all just chopped up carrots, beetroot few lettuce leaves some sweaty cheese slices and that’s it. Mains were chicken, fish or beef. With bland sauces covering them and deserts failed the most with just fruit or ice cream that had completely melted in the pot. When a pot of food becomes empty it is not replaced with a fresh pot of food even if you ask. We ate out every night in the end . As we were half board we asked if we could swap dinner for lunch but we were refused that and so had to pay for our lunch so all in all not good . Would not stay again

Schönes Zimmer, nettes Personal, tolle Anlage Leider kein vom Hotel verwalteter Strandabschnitt mit Liegen. Außerhalb des Hotels wird man sehr schnell und aufdringlich von "Verkäufern" belästigt Essensauswahl ist sehr gut und vielseitig

Wir waren mit dem Hotel insgesamt sehr zufrieden, schade dass der Strand wegen den Strömungen nicht benutzbar war. Die Mitarbeiter waren stets um unser Wohl bemüht. Das Essen war immer sehr raffiniert angerichtet. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr nettes, zuvorkommendes Personal. Wechselndes Buffet jeden Abend mit reichlich Auswahl an regionalem Essen aber auch „europäischen“ Alternativen. Ein Punkt Abzug da die Anlage ein klein wenig in die Jahre gekommen ist und es durch die offenen Badezimmer zu einigen Insekten im Zimmer führte

A large, spacious room with a balcony. Excellent air conditioning and a very comfortable bed Very clean facilities and a lovely pool with attentive staff.A short stroll to the Indian ocean. Staff were friendly and helpful and food good. A very pleasant, relaxing stay
