Best Hotels near De Plukheyde thuis, Kampenhout

This was the second time this year that we have decided to stay at the Sheraton Airport prior to our return trip home. While the hotel is overpriced it is so convenient for departure and it eliminates the anxiety regarding taxi or transit strikes (something that seems to be a cultural event). The hotel offers great service; friendly and efficient check in and checkout, good response to requests (extra towels), etc. While it seems to be appearing “a little tired” (light bulbs flickering, some new paint required) I have found it to be clean, comfortable and has the hottest water I have experienced anywhere in the world. Gullivers restaurant has adequate service and food although the wait time for meals in the evening can be a test of patience. Breakfast is much quicker and if you wish the breakfast buffet, it is complete and well presented. The coffee we had there both times was the best we have had anywhere during our past month in Belgium! Regarding the waiters in the evening (January 2nd) I must say the women staff and one man (I believe his name was Driss) were the ones doing the work. They constantly circulated the areas and responded to guest requests and needs, the other men just took up space. I had to mention this because it was just so obvious.

After a warm reception by the owner, with whom we had a few pleasant and interesting babbles, we were able to relax in the jacuzzi. The very wide duplex room was equipped with tea/cafe facilities, towels, washing glue and so on. Wifi and TV, a seat, table and chair were present. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. We had a good sleep! The environment was worth the effort. The stairway to this t****e floor was particularly easy to climb by the relatively low but broad steps, which, given my limited mobility, played an important role for me. From that height the roofs offer a beautiful view of Kortenberg and the local green. There is a look that the house might first of all discourage, but be quiet, what you get at this price is amazing. All inside is well cared, this is a recommendation!

Je ne connaissais pas du tout l’hôtel ni l’endroit mais tout était impeccable du service à la chambre je le recommande, nous avons juste passer une nuit et tout c’est bien passer, nous avons même manger au restaurant de l’hôtel et les pizzas étaient délicieuse

The hotel was rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was courteous and professional. Check-in and check-out was efficient and quick. The airport shuttle ran frequently and was reliable.

As a regular visitor to Campanile in Vilvoorde I can only say that the food was magnificent. I stay in Campanile every couple of months for business and when Elvira is cooking in the kitchen the food is always amazing The hotel rooms could do with a a refurb and new mattress but the staff are always welcoming and make the stay enjoyable. On a one night stay, travelling on the luxuria coach with drivers Paul & Paul with Leger holidays on a 16 day Arctic Circle and the land of the midnight sun holiday, this was our last night I have stayed at this hotel before in October 2022 on a previous holiday with Leger, it’s a fabulous hotel, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, TV, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities in the room, bathroom had a bath and a separate shower, excellent housekeeping, everything you needed for your stay, we had a lovely evening meal down in the restaurant, breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice, staff were friendly and helpful, the glass lifts are amazing and the seating area in reception is modern, I enjoyed my stay.
