Primate Lodge

Fantastic experience. The setting is beautiful, the common area great, the individual cabanas are wonderfully appointed and the service is first class. They include amenities like free laundry and shoe cleaning after our trek with the chimps. The staff is eager to do whatever is necessary to please the guests and massage is also available. Very convenient to the Kibale Forest National Park.

Excellent service from Hilda, spectacular views of the monkeys right from our room. Chef did amazing 3 course breakfast lunch and dinner, we had a short stay of 2 days and walked with the chimpanzees like 500m away just a short 5 minute walk. Overall it was great. Michael H, West Australian

From start to finish, our stay was outstanding. All the staff were amazing. We have to give a call out especially to our butler Innocent, who went far beyond the call of duty to make sure we were looked after! An overall wonderful human being. Cannot recommend enough.

The room was lovely and very clean, the meals were delicious, and the staff were always available to help in any way. A real, unexpected plus was that the staff cleaned our boots upon our return from chimpanzee tracking. I wish I could have stayed longer!

The lodge is in the forest. You are immersed in the wildlife immediately. Very exciting. We were told that sometimes the chimps come to the lodge. Not this time but we saw 3 species of monkeys as soon as we arrived. The staff are professional and welcoming. The rooms are well appointed with décore created by local people. Nothing you ask for is too much

The Primate Lodge is by far the best African lodge we’ve stayed in. SO gorgeous. Jockus looked after us and was amazing. So attentive and such a lovely person. We felt extremely well looked after by all the staff members. The food was absolutely delicious. Stunning decor. Couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Innocwnt is the best butler ever.he brought us umbrellas when he realized that we were stuck under therain, and he washed our boots and they look new! The srvice is more than outstanding and amasing. The food unbelievable. Just the bwst best experience! Wow

The large luxury room at this lodge was lovely. It had everything required, including hair conditioner. The service provided by lodge staff was very good, even if they are shy to approach, this is a part of the cultural nature for this part of Kibale. Hats off to Hannington, our butler. Every request attended to with kindness. And well done to my house keeper who managed to get laundry dry before I departed despite a torrential downpour. I’m sorry I didn’t see you to thank you personally. Only areas for improvement would be food preparation and timing of serving of meals. Meals are pre-ordered and courses tend to come out one on top of the other. And the hot water service is temperamental, so get a lesson on use when shown your room.

The lodge is located inside the national park, so with out leaving lodge we saw wildlife. The service we recieved was incredible, catered by our lovely butler Hilda who always had a smile and happy to help. I definitely recommend this place if you get a chance to come.
