Was really nice…. a long time ago? This was a very strange experience. The Comsaed appears that it was once a bustling and lively resort, with amenities for many guests, stalls for vendors to set up, bars located throughout the resort property, lovely pool…but aside from one other family, another couple, the staff, and several monitor lizards walking about, it was deserted! There were no vendors or bartenders at the empty bar areas, hardly any guests. Maybe it was the off-season? It was odd. The room was clean (though dated), the staff was accommodating and friendly, the food was decent, the pool was clean and refreshing in a lovely setting. Just strange to be in a big resort with hardly a soul.

Loved this hotel due to its riverfront location. The limited number of rooms provided a nice private feel. You can enjoy beautiful river views right from your room. The lush, tree-lined grounds are serene and peaceful. The spacious rooms have in-room coffee makers. The beds are plush and comfortable for a great night's sleep. The breakfast is delicious with both a buffet and a la carte options. Instead of a standard welcome drink, they uniquely serve freshly grilled coconut ice cream - so refreshing and bursting with authentic coconut flavor. Overall, it offers a relaxing riverside escape with great amenities and little touches that elevate the experience. Highly recommend staying here when you want to get away from it all while still being pampered.

The attractions that we are impressed with and have been able to experience the atmosphere. Is Mida Hotel is a luxury beach hotel available. The interior of the room is decorated in a simple modern style that looks comfortable and the bathroom is clean and has all the amenities. There is a pool to play. And there are food arranged in a buffet style. There are both local food to food in a 5 star hotel I had the opportunity to travel because my sister was an employee in Mida Company. GGuest UserNew hotel with a variety of activities to choose from, such as natural swimming pool, kayaking, mountain view, beautiful garden in the hotel, suitable for taking pictures. Cars can be parked next to the house, making it very convenient to pick up things. The balcony is wide, and there are many types of seats to choose from. I recommend you to try staying here.
GGuest UserWe recently spent two nights at U inchantree. The property has a beautiful location right on the river Kwai with beautiful views and thoughtfully appointed grounds. The restaurant was excellent for Breakfast, lunch and dinner. The service was excellent and the food presentation was fantastic. The rooms were clean and lovely. We also utilized their massage services and it was top notch! What really makes U Inchantree stand out is the friendly employees and excellent service. Gigi and Big went out of their way to make our stay memorable. They were fantastic and every employee was courteous and friendly. I would definitely recommend U Inchantree for your next stay in Kanchanaburi!
GGuest UserThe setting with grounds flowing down to the river is idyllic. The hotel itself is quite grand at first blush, but lack of maintenance and limited housekeeping soon becomes noticeable. Our room was very spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool and the river. Lack of a screen door meant you had to run the AC and keep the door closed to keep out mosquitos. Annoyingly out room was half a step up from the hallway and the large bathroom was half a step down. A bit of a tripping hazard and not suitable for a wheelchair user or any one with any mobility limitations. 2 beds had been pushed together to create a double but that meant the headboards did not line up with the bed or the single bed side table. Beds were comfortable, AC and internet worked fine. The whole place was passably clean but plenty of dust and insect casing were present on higher walls and surfaces. Breakfast was ok not great. Coffee was a little odd. Beautiful gardens but not convenient to town. Neigbouring property throws loud parties so noise could be an issue. Towels were threadbare but sheets were nice. We left housekeeping a tip anyway figuring people had been hard up during Covid. No nearby dining so captive audience situation at dinner as town is hard to get to. The rice barge dining room floating on the river was delightful as was the pool. Quite a lot of contradictory experiences in a single stay but could be splendid - having said that rates were fairly inexpensive.
SsupernumwaanThe accommodation is located not far from Mueang Kanchanaburi District. Convenient transportation, there is a parking lot. It is many buildings, Building 1 has 3 floors in total, each building requires stairs, no elevator. There is a beautiful scenery next to the River Kwai and not far from the bridge over the River Kwai, the price of 1000 early. But there is a fee of 500 baht per dog. For a small room, there are single and double beds, and there is a balcony in front of the room with 1 set of tables. The main swimming pool is available and there is a cafe as well as a waterfront restaurant. The overall atmosphere is good. Dogs can come in the cafe and restaurant. The food is served in the middle of the taste. And in the breakfast section, it is a good set. A dog can be brought to every part of the hotel, but must be in the care of the owner.
TTanVery nice location - walking distance to the night market and there are some roadside stalls right outside the hotel.
Room is clean and spacious, but they do not have enough hot water to fill the tub unfortunately (hot water runs out after a while).
Nice breakfast though repetitive, and restaurant is situated beside a nice view.
Hotel provides bicycle for free! Gears unable to work but good enough to cycle to the railway and back. Do note you'll need to carry the bike down steep stairs if cycling over the railway to the railway market for a loop back to the accomodation.
Pool is nice for a short swim. For those interested in pool access room, note that the pool entrance is along the side of the pool, i.e. not much privacy cause the pool isn't very big.
Overall a very nice experience staying at Natee - thank you =)
SSupasaintLocated about 7km north west of the town, the staff are all friendly and helpful. I have rented a small motorbike to get me around, a necessity which means I can go where and when I desire, small money so no problem!
Have been to the cemeteries and museums to pay my respect to ALL who suffered during those darkest of days. I have also been to the original wooden bridge constructed by the POW’s and others, it is located in the JEATH museum adjacent to the bridge that is in use these days. Entry cost 50 Baht, and there is so much to see that I took two hours inside, would recommend a morning visit so you can view the many items and read the facts behind them at your leisure.
The museum has been set up by a local man and is most definitely worth visiting. 100% value for money! I mentioned to a Thai man inside that we were so grateful that people around the area did try to ease the suffering of the POWs, risking their own necks by doing so.
My mother was an innocent child at 7 years old, alongside her mother and little sister she waved goodbye to her father, John Francis Egan, he said he was going to work for a while!! After working in Turkey, his ANZAC unit were moved on to Italy, to partake in one of the harder campaigns of the war. His life was taken by a German bullet at Mount Casino, alongside many many others!
Please understand how one can feel. I try my hardest to be non judgmental and tolerant these days. I have not walked in your shoes and do not know your story.
“Footsteps in the sand” comes to mind at this moment. I have PTSD myself, and I knew coming to Kanchanaburi may get emotional, and it has.
Now my mother is 88 years young, and became a great grandma for the second time two weeks ago. Apologies if it got too personal, started as a review of the Phoo Tawan hotel.
Words are insufficient, our gratitude to all who risked their own lives and those that paid the ultimate price.
Life is precious, please enjoy the moment.
Peace, love and joy to all who inhabit this world.

GGuest UserKanchanaburi is outskit of Bangkok, around 3 hr drive. The Campster @ Kanchanaburi , the calmness and relaxing atmosphere offers a relax and really nice environment to chill and relax. We stayed 2 nights at different room type.- one night is campervan, one night is 2 rooms tents. Bed are comfortable. it was an pleasant stay for our family (2 adult and 2 young kids- below 8 years old) . the. Love the river scenary, dinner under the stars , breakfast is very nice too. We can choose to eat outside our tent or in the resturant . can order dinner from the resturant from menu of bbq / mookata / thai or westen food. Facilities inside the campervan and tent need some maintenance. the cupboard in the campervan cannot be closed tight and the toilet door in the 2 rooms tent in spoil , cannot close it. My kids not like the campervan, as the flying light flies and ants coming inside the van. The 2 rooms tent is big space and nice . There was camp fire every night where kids will bbq marshmallows / chocolate/ biscuit provided and not forgetting the sparkle sticks. My kids love the staffs .. The staffs are very friendly, helpful and nice. Thank you for the complimentary birthday deco and cake for my boy birthday. They do not provide toothbrush and toothpaste - bring yourself or can purchase from the counter. Recommend for those who want experience camping feel and relax atmosphere.
MMikhailDThe room is big and the location is good.
Facilities: There is a swimming pool, no elevator, but it is OK for young people, and the breakfast is delicious
Hygiene: Very clean
Environment: The decoration is very beautiful
Service: The front desk service is very good. She helped to hail the car in the hot sun when we took the car to Erawan Waterfall.
GGuest UserI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The first thing that struck me was the warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment I stepped through the doors. The lobby was elegantly decorated, creating a sense of luxury without being overly ostentatious.
The check-in process was smooth and efficient, with the staff displaying a high level of professionalism and friendliness. They provided all the necessary information about the hotel amenities and services, making me feel well-informed and taken care of.
AAl_Marriott1As the title of my review says, the staff are great. Knowledgeable of the local area, easy to deal with and very welcoming. I found them incredibly helpful. The owner has fluent English which makes thing easier as well. There are also 4 lovely dogs that greet you every time you arrive home. They always take up 10 minutes of my time when I get back. I was a little put out that the room has no warm water and there are no plug points in the room so charging your items is resigned to leaving them in the common area, although the owner had a solution for this and had an extension cord which ran all the way to my room through the window. The price is good and compared to other options and is the closest riverside accommodation to the bus station. I want to thank the owner for all of his help during my stay.
