It is an old hotel. The room is big but the design is old. The swimming pool has been renovated. The pool is very big. Good price. The quality is reasonable. Good location, next to the river, not far from tourist attractions in the city, such as the bridge over the River Kwai. Overall, it is okay.

Located along the River Kwai, the air is fresh. In the morning, waking up to the sounds of shady nature is very refreshing. The condition of the building, although it looks old, is not bad. The staff take good care of you. Welcome with politeness If I have another opportunity, I will probably choose to stay here. Pung-Waan Resort is an old, very peaceful, spacious place to rest, located on the River Kwai. There are many rooms for tourists, seminars.

This is a most unusual resort as the rooms are on the water. Sadly the place is really run down and in need of repair. To access the rooms requires going down steep inclines but you need not worry as the resort’s porters will haul your luggage up and down for you. The meal at the main ‘clubhouse’ was OK and the service good. The grounds are expansive so take some time to explore them.

Worst bed I've ever tried to sleep on. Been trying to sleep for 3 hours now with no success. The mattress is just two small hard mattresses on top of eachother, no springs, and no give whatsoever. My back is already killing me so god knows what it'll feel like in the morning.

The resort, I’m sure was once beautiful, it is now extremely run down, it genuinely felt as if it had been abandoned 20 years ago and they had just come back to open it up for us to stay. We were in a group of 10 and were the only guests in this vast, r7 down resort. The food wasn’t great, two of our group were very sick after eating the food, I suspect the hygiene wasn’t great. Such a disappointment as spending. Night in a raft house on the river Kwai was something we had looked forward to immensely.

We stayed two nights in this hotel as part of a tour and we were very disappointed, positive point the setting is very pretty on the banks of the River Kwai but for the rest everything needs to be renovated only the swimming pool is ok, the catering is average but in abundance to the point that we had to get angry to have less the next day, no bar to drink a cocktail in the evening, no entertainment and gloomy restaurant room, there were only four of us at Dinner and meal quickly dispatched. The room very old but with very decent bedding but with extremely noisy air conditioning, no hair dryer or safe, in short to summarize a hotel in a pretty setting but far from everything which would need to be completely renovated to bring it up to current tourist standards

On our way from Bangkok to the north we slept here for 1 night. The pool is large and beautiful. The beds are hard but fine. The room is very large but everything is dated. The air conditioning makes a hellish noise, it seems like you are still on the plane. Breakfast is not that great. Fine to stay for 1 night

Outlying and beautiful hotel. Decor a little outdated. Nice swimming pool but.... opening the beds, big stain in my husband's and lots of hair in mine... the sheets should not have been changed. yuck . As for the wifi...inaccessible and no hairdryer. Very disapointed.

Very nice place... Clean swimming pool... choice for lunch... Clean room but the bathroom should be reviewed... Limited kitchen on the other hand for the evening meal... No bar in the evening for have a drink... Hotel very far from the center... Wifi problem in the rooms
