Nous avons passé 3 merveilleuses journées à Kandesteg avec comme hôtel restaurant le Swiss hôtel historique ! Un décor fabuleux intérieur comme extérieur, un personnel très accueillant, serviable, aimable …. Nous y avons dîner les 2 soirs … dont un soir au 1er étage dans un cadre feutré ! Un dîner typique : émincé de veau à la zurichoise, foi de veau … petits légumes.. rösti … Sans oublier le dessert de Zoug au kirsch : une pure merveille ! Nous avons profité du spa … et du tea Time …. Très belle adresse que l’on ne peut pas oublier !

Schön und ruhig gelegenes, gut gestaltetes Haus. Das erste am Platze, da waren schon jene Prominente Besucher da. Das Restaurant war grandios, dabei erschwinglich, super Weinkarte. Sehr grosser schöner Wellnessbereich, mit Aussicht in die Landschaft. Grosse Zimmer, gut ausgestattet, zwei Polstersessel; hatte eine riesige Terrasse auf der Rückseite des Hauses.

The hotel has been partially renovated since my last visit and now looks a little fresher. The room is nice, but the bathroom was a bit small. The food was delicious, there was a kitchen party in the evening and the breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired.

This is a beautiful resort nestled in the Swiss mountains. Stunning views, amazing dining and one of the best spa’s we have ever visited. Kandersteg is quiet but you dont need to leave the hotel. Every need was catered for and we left truly relaxed. Will definitely return in the future!

Major communication problem because of the language….. French is not taken into account at all by the staff…. We even noticed that some staff did not even speak German and that English was preferred. I find this unacceptable in Switzerland. Otherwise everything else is great!
