Chera Rock Beach House

I stayed here for 2 days with family at beach hut here , first of all its not resort but beach house , location is good but price is 4 times more than adjacent beach houses , so double check before booking , Below are Very basic infrastructure and facility issues i faced. 1.I had to wait until 9 am near by shop is open to buy tooth paste , owner doesn't keep them handy to save cost, personally walked to get toothpaste. 2.Resort manager is sarcastic , when i informed no salt in food he ignored , not able to handle or digest negative feedback. 3.This place not good for vegetarians very limited dish and serve only what they like not your wish. 4.Not well maintained room had to inform manager to fix ant holes as was seeing lot of it. 5.Space is very less cannot accommodate more luggage, 3 people won't fit in that small room conformably. 6.Every issue raised , mamager will ask talk to beach owner which makes uncomfortable. 7.Negative tone from manger when i said more that 2 small bags as this has to carried from car parking to resort. 8.Wifi connects but never worked for me , reply i got was connection not in that remote area. 9.Only one charging point which is not working. 10.Lot of cigarette butts and bottles not cleaned time to time..This is not a place for family outing lot of facilities ignored by beach house. Only positive was location on beach. Try other options mentioned to know right price and informed decision.

Extraordinary hospitality, delicious cooking, combined with an exquisite location on an unspoilt beach, make this rustic beach house stand out as the very best place to stay for peace and tranquility, beauty and nature and a warm welcome in this area. My sixth visit as a solo female traveller and it's better than ever. Can't wait to go back! Spent 3 nights at this beautiful property bang on the beach. The majestic ocean and the rocks jutting out during the low tide. Almost private beach with hardly a soul around. Special thanks to Pramod (helper cum prawn dish specialist)/ Shiju the therapist ( do get the foot and neck massage done)/ Karthiyanie The COOK ( try the idiappam/ fish/ prawns and crab ***** with the vegetable stew and dal/ kadhi) and above all Nivedh. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. The washrooms are clean and so is the linen etc. Sunsets are free and daily visible and the majestic ocean is just a few steps away. Do note that the parking is around 150-200 meters away and one has to climb down around 20-25 steps at various levels to reach the beach. Its a easy walk though. A PERFECT DO NOTHING HOLODAY WE HAD.
