📍 Arasat Al-Hindiyah, Karadah

"Facilities: New hotel, nice environment, complete amenities. Cleanliness: Very clean, excellent stay. Nearby: Bustling, close to the Chinese Embassy. Service: Excellent service, the local front desk lady spoke excellent English, making communication seamless. A waiter assisted with luggage. A welcome fruit plate was also provided, and the fruits were very sweet. Food: All three meals were well-chosen, featuring all-you-can-eat options (presumably the hotel invested heavily in the ingredients). The food was delicious, the restaurant was pleasant, and the dining room was always busy. Highly recommended. The food, accommodation, and service were excellent, just like in China."

Coral Palace Hotel

Coral Palace Hotel ★★★★

📍 Unnamed Road, Karadah

"Although the room is small, it is very clean and the furniture is new, very good room service The restaurant is good and offers many options for breakfast, and you can have other meals in the garden. The only issue is the location; you will need to walk about 200m to get to main street I recommend this hotel for the value of money"

The Taj Premium Hotel ★★★★
"Due to work reasons, I often go back and forth to Baghdad, and I have long stopped expecting too much from the hotels here - either the room is too small, or the food is not to my taste, and the service is even more uneven. Before this business trip, I accidentally discovered the newly launched TAJ Crown Hotel on Ctrip, and booked it with a "try it out" mentality. Unexpectedly, it became the most comfortable stay I have ever had in Baghdad! The hotel lobby is not spacious, but the decoration style is modern. As soon as you enter the door, you are surrounded by elegant fragrance, which instantly relieves the fatigue of the long-distance flight. The front desk guy speaks fluent English, and the check-in is efficient and smooth, without repeated communication. What's more considerate is that an older local porter took the initiative to help carry the luggage and led me all the way to the room, warm and thoughtful. I was pleasantly surprised as soon as I pushed the door open - the room layout is reasonable, with an area of about 40㎡, which is definitely a "luxury-level" space in Baghdad. The air conditioner was turned on in advance, and it was cool and comfortable as soon as I entered the room. The bedding is delicate and the mattress is moderately soft and hard. For people who travel for business all year round, being able to sleep well is more important than anything else. What touched me most was the large desk (many domestic hotels have shrunk now), with welcome fruits and welcome letters, the rigid needs of business people were accurately grasped! Less than 10 minutes after checking in, a Chinese manager came to greet me, added WeChat and said that he could contact me at any time - this proactive service awareness is rare in overseas hotels. Whether it was consulting travel suggestions or simply chatting, the replies were quick and friendly, and I had the illusion of "living in a high-end domestic hotel". Due to the itinerary, I only experienced dinner and breakfast, but the richness of the dishes was satisfactory and the taste was authentic (finally I didn't have to rely on instant noodles to survive). It is lucky to encounter such a hotel in Baghdad - spacious space, delicate service, catering counterparts, and even more attention to details than domestic hotels of the same price. TAJ Crown Hotel made me feel like "returning home"."

Coral Palace Hotel ★★★★
"Coral Palace: The Hotel That Forgot It’s a Hotel Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Coral Palace—where the only thing "palatial" is the level of incompetence. A hotel in name only, with service that makes a roadside café look like The Ritz. I spent two and a half years in this place, and let me tell you, I’ve seen five-star service turn into a one-star horror show faster than a bad Tinder date. When I first arrived, the GM was Mr. Salwan—a real hotelier. Charismatic, professional, and someone who knew the difference between a guest and a houseplant. Then came the disaster of the decade. The owners, who are usually fantastic decision-makers, made one epic mistake that will go down in the history books—hiring Ms. Ahlam, a GM so wildly out of her depth, she’s basically scuba diving without oxygen. Let’s be real—hospitality isn't her thing. In fact, I wouldn’t even trust her to run a lemonade stand, let alone a hotel. If we’re talking career paths, she’d probably be better suited to giving foot rubs and trimming nails—that’s if she could figure out which end of the nail file to use. Since her royal disaster took over, the service has gone from "acceptable" to "please send the Red Cross." Marketing plan? Nope. Hygiene standards? A complete mystery. The only plan in action seems to be overworking the staff until they collapse. You’ve got waiters running around like they’re in The Hunger Games, while captains and supervisors stand around like fancy statues from an ancient civilization. The food? Surprisingly good. The service? Slower than dial-up internet in the 90s. And Ms. Ahlam? Managing a hotel the way a chicken manages a space station. If I were Mr. Wisam, I’d personally escort her to the smallest door possible and let her take her talents elsewhere—maybe a restaurant that specializes in terrible service and unnecessary Botox. Because let’s be honest, there’s not enough fillers in the world to cover up the mess she’s made of this place. Coral Palace? More like Coral Disaster. More to come from this soap opera... Just cant forget the botox and fillers and not feel I want to vomit"
