The Lumos Deluxe Resort Hotel & Spa

Apart from the hotel being clean and tidy everything was shocking and disgraceful a life guard fired a water pistol in our sons ear from about 1-2 meters away and perforated his ear drum the hotel management especially the so called guest relations manger ( aubuke oztanir) is a absolute disgrace should be called the staff defence department would not except a complaint from me until my wife and son returned from hospital after 3 days in hospital and refused him treatments until we paid £2000 up front the hospital also took there passport’s which we have now found is not aloud and when she did return to the hotel to complain the police arrived with all the management at the hotel and threatened she would have to go police station to make a complaint and pay another £300 for and interrupter and said she would probably miss her flight home and told her it’s best to leave it and just claim back your expenses at home even though we had medical insurance they took no responsibility and gave no help whatsoever and even had the nerve to say he had a bad ear on arrival which is a complete lie as this happened on day five of our 10 day stay the food was cold and basically the same Turkish cuisine every day the entertainment lasted for an hour and was not even what I would call one star consisted of a shadow show men behind a projector making shapes bingo a emoji quiz and so on I could go on and on about this hotel the treatment we received we are absolutely disappointed and disgusted at the treatment by the lumos Dulux hotel and I would strongly advise anybody thinking of going to this hotel not to bother wasting your time and money we are now taking this as far as we can now we are back in England as you are basically powerless at this hotel to do anything while inn turkey

Not normally one for reviews however I feel like this hotel needs one to just prepare other families that they are NOT going to a 5 star resort. I will be honest and say this hotel is a 3/4 star max and I’ve stayed in over 9 hotels in Turkey and numerous elsewhere however this is on par with many 3/4 stars we’ve stayed at previously. I travelled with my family (4 adults, 2 children (2&4). Firstly, as others have mentioned, it’s a 2 hour transfer from the airport (we booked private transfers as we were aware of this when booking) but a standard transfer takes around 3.5hours if you’re shared with others. The lobby area is the only 5 star thing about this hotel, it’s grand, very open & beautiful to look at. When we arrived at 2am, we were shown to our room however there wasn’t a cot as requested on our booking and had to wait around 30 mins for it to arrive. Not ideal with a little one who has been travelling all day and wanted to sleep. I read reviews before coming and was aware of the rep that rings your room at 8am the next morning for the welcome meeting however we were lucky and managed to have a lie in until 10am before the phone rang. We said we weren’t really interested in buying excursions through the hotel and wasn’t bothered about the welcome meeting but he was persistent and asked us to meet him at 12:30. By 12:30, myself and the kids were in the pool, enjoying the slides when a man came over to us asking if we were ‘xxxx’ in room ‘xxxx’. I said yes to which he said ‘you didn’t come to the welcome meeting, I need to see you to give your return transfer times’ I responded with ‘we’ve only just arrived, can’t I receive this information closer to my departure date’ but yet again he refused and said no you won’t get this you have to come now. My partner and brother in law decided to go with him (which is wasn’t happy with as he said the WHOLE family needed to be there) at this point I said there was no way I was taking the children from the pool to be sat discussing excursions (I knew this was the main reason for the meeting). Once they returned, they agreed it was just a push for us to buy excursions and surprisingly didn’t have a transfer time for our return home as this would be given 24hrs before departure! How convenient! If you are looking for excursions however, as you walk out of the hotel, turn left and follow the road down past the supermarket, there’s a lovely place offering excursions there for half the price! £25pp for a boat pirate boat trip, food and drink included. Great! Onto the rooms & cleanliness, we were here for 2 weeks, our room had been ‘cleaned’ 7 times. By cleaned, I mean, towels changed, water & cans given & I think that’s it. Our beds were never made, the sheet was left as we left it each morning, the floors never swept, there were crumbs from the children’s snacks often on the floor which were there the whole 2 weeks.
