Not normally one for reviews however I feel like this hotel needs one to just prepare other families that they are NOT going to a 5 star resort. I will be honest and say this hotel is a 3/4 star max and I’ve stayed in over 9 hotels in Turkey and numerous elsewhere however this is on par with many 3/4 stars we’ve stayed at previously. I travelled with my family (4 adults, 2 children (2&4). Firstly, as others have mentioned, it’s a 2 hour transfer from the airport (we booked private transfers as we were aware of this when booking) but a standard transfer takes around 3.5hours if you’re shared with others. The lobby area is the only 5 star thing about this hotel, it’s grand, very open & beautiful to look at. When we arrived at 2am, we were shown to our room however there wasn’t a cot as requested on our booking and had to wait around 30 mins for it to arrive. Not ideal with a little one who has been travelling all day and wanted to sleep. I read reviews before coming and was aware of the rep that rings your room at 8am the next morning for the welcome meeting however we were lucky and managed to have a lie in until 10am before the phone rang. We said we weren’t really interested in buying excursions through the hotel and wasn’t bothered about the welcome meeting but he was persistent and asked us to meet him at 12:30. By 12:30, myself and the kids were in the pool, enjoying the slides when a man came over to us asking if we were ‘xxxx’ in room ‘xxxx’. I said yes to which he said ‘you didn’t come to the welcome meeting, I need to see you to give your return transfer times’ I responded with ‘we’ve only just arrived, can’t I receive this information closer to my departure date’ but yet again he refused and said no you won’t get this you have to come now. My partner and brother in law decided to go with him (which is wasn’t happy with as he said the WHOLE family needed to be there) at this point I said there was no way I was taking the children from the pool to be sat discussing excursions (I knew this was the main reason for the meeting). Once they returned, they agreed it was just a push for us to buy excursions and surprisingly didn’t have a transfer time for our return home as this would be given 24hrs before departure! How convenient! If you are looking for excursions however, as you walk out of the hotel, turn left and follow the road down past the supermarket, there’s a lovely place offering excursions there for half the price! £25pp for a boat pirate boat trip, food and drink included. Great! Onto the rooms & cleanliness, we were here for 2 weeks, our room had been ‘cleaned’ 7 times. By cleaned, I mean, towels changed, water & cans given & I think that’s it. Our beds were never made, the sheet was left as we left it each morning, the floors never swept, there were crumbs from the children’s snacks often on the floor which were there the whole 2 weeks.
