Very spacious hotel with Ski facilities, hot springs and shopping mall. Very good for ski area for beginner, kids and family.

The hotel is located quite far from Karuizawa JR station. There is a pickup bus service every half an hour outside the south exit of the station. However the bus is very small and can be quite full at times, causing people to rush onto the bus. It would be better if the hotel could set up a better queue-up system or adjust the frequency of the pickup bus service. By the way you can deposit luggage at the customer centre next to the pickup bus stop and have them transferred to the hotel for you. I thought the hotel did not advertise the service enough as it is very useful and effective in creating more passenger space in the pickup bus. Breakfast at the hotel is not buffet style, so went to the Prince Karuizawa West hotel to have breakfast instead. During non-peak hours the hotel offers individual transportation for free so that is definitely a plus. The Momiji hot spring is definitely a must-visit. Clean, modern, hygienic, exactly what I look for in a hot spring. Overall service is excellent.

Spacious room, and great Onsen. Onsen is a bit far, as it needs a shuttle.

Stayed here mainly for skiing ⛷ and it was the best choice. You can take shuttle to go to the rental spot, shopping mall and metro station. You can even enjoy momiji onsen and the onsen at the west hotel after skiing, totally worth it. Highly recommend.

The location of the Royal Prince is located on the East n West. Although there is a shuttle bus, it is inconvenient to make time to take the shuttle bus every time you go out or go to Hot Spring. But after the royal prince checks in, he can go to the self-seating area on 1/f, where free draft beer, juice, coffee and Japanese snacks are provided. The best thing👍😄

The service staff of the hotel🏨 are very polite. Because I don’t understand Japanese. We all use translation apps to communicate with them. Because Karuizawa Prince Hotel has too many rooms. So we searched for nearly an hour. We asked the locals and she took us to the shuttle bus 🚌 The locals are really enthusiastic and know what we don't understand. She took us there directly. Thank you very much to her! We took the shuttle bus to the hotel. Only then did I know where we were staying this time Karuizawa Prince Hotel is on the mountain. Some people feel helpless. Because I stayed in another Prince Hotel before which was close to the Outlet. (You can walk to the outlet from the hotel without taking the shuttle bus) Except for the location, everything else is very satisfactory.

The room is very large, with an open tea room. The location is a bit out of the way, but it didn't affect us by driving ourselves. We arrived at 10 o'clock in the evening. The front desk service is very good. Guest parking is 1,000 yen for 24 hours. It would be better if it was free!
