We had a great time! The ocean is next to the hotel. The rooms are very clean and there is hot water in the bathroom. Delicious breakfast in the morning. Safe - the area is guarded by a security guard. We recommend!
Langi Langi Beach Bungalows

We booked the 3rd floor room because of the expansive view. The location was perfect, right in front of the ocean. It was breathtaking!!. To me this was the best part as I could watch the coming and going of the tides. An ideal place to recover, relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility. We were in one of the sea view rooms with balcony which was ideal for watching the evening sunsets over the ocean. As long as I closed my eyes to the rundown aspects of the stinking bathroom, I truly enjoyed my stay there. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because of the bathroom issue. Loved the outside dining on the deck and lounging area. A few steps down and you're right in the ocean ..... awe-amazing! The pool area was very relaxing with birds chirping and beautiful flowers everywhere. Rasta the owner, has created a little wonderland with amazing lush green enclave with few free-roaming domesticated animals on his property. Love seeing the dwarf antelope! The room does need a little more maintenance but I understand how hard it’s to keep the properties near the ocean in perfect state. If you wish to experience true Zanzibar warmth and welcome ….. then Langi Langi is the place. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Conclusion: Overall it a beautiful place, we will surely come back again although, it's a long trip from Canada.
Zenobia Beach Resort

Nungwi Beach
The picturesque coastline is undoubtedly the highlight of this property, and waking up to such views is a delight. The staff at Zenobia Hotel are another positive aspect, always greeting guests with warm smiles and offering helpful assistance throughout the stay. Their friendliness adds a personal touch that is much appreciated. However, the hotel falls short in several key areas. While the cleanliness is maintained, the overall quality of the hotel is quite poor. The amenities and facilities are lacking, and the decoration and infrastructure are in need of significant upgrades. The price of the stay does not align with the value provided, making it feel overpriced for what is offered. The Wi-Fi service is a major drawback. The connection is extremely slow and frequently disconnects, making it frustrating for guests who need reliable internet access. Additionally, the restaurant at Zenobia Hotel is mediocre at best, and the breakfast leaves much to be desired. The quality of the food is poor, with only the coffee and some fruit being acceptable. The area surrounding the hotel can feel a bit unsettling, especially at night. While it’s possible to walk around, the dark streets contribute to a sense of insecurity. It’s worth noting that this may be a broader issue in Zanzibar, but it’s still a concern for those staying in the area. Beach vendors, known locally as ”beach boys,” are pervasive and can be quite intrusive. They frequently approach guests, trying to sell excursions or ask for money, which can be bothersome and detracts from the overall experience. In hindsight, I regret choosing Zenobia Hotel and would not recommend it to others. Based on our experience, it’s unlikely that I would choose to stay here again.

We like to find something special on every trip, not the big hotels, and we got lucky. Such a friendly staff that made us feel at home. The reception staff was all smiles and did make our stay even better with all their help on excursions and surroundings. Gabriel was our best waiter of our whole trip, and for dinner its no need to go somewhere else because the food was super. All the best from Iceland Hanna and fam❤️
Jafferji Beach Retreat,

My partner and I, stayed here for 10days. It was such a lovely hotel, our rooms were so spacious, made us feel like we were home. The views from the big wide balcony were just so beautiful, we would seat outside, listen to music while watching the stars and the moon, the beach waves was just what we needed to hear before bed. The staff were so lovely and welcoming. The manager was just lovely welcoming and engaging with customers. Most of all the food was the best we had in Zanzibar, we tried other restaurants but not up to scratch. We decided to only eat at the hotel lunch and dinner. If you like a quiet place with a beach front, not noisy and not too busy this is the place. You can commute by car to other beaches and places outside the hotel but sometimes you just want to relax at the hotel by the beach. You can learn kite surfing outside the hotel and arrange other activities as we did from the hotel We miss it already. Do not look nowhere else
