I didn't realise the hotel location is so fantastic.
Near Asan Bazaar, Kathmandu Durbar Square and in the heart of Thamel.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The room reasonably clean.
If I ever return to Kathmandu, I will stay in Hotel de Universal again.

The hotel services are incredible,the hotel workers are so nice and very respectful…my favorite spot was the rooftop restaurant and bar,very good for chilling

Excellent location in the heart of Thamel, very good value for money and magnificent views of the Kathmandu mountains and the city from the roof top. On the other hand, there were two cockroaches in the room, which was relatively clean (but not spotless)

Quiet hotel, they gave me a scare when they told me that I had canceled 2 days with ******* hahaha I made a reservation with trip.com hahaha then everything was sorted out very poor breakfast otherwise quiet

It's located between the downtown area and the local area, so it's easy to go to various places.
There is an ashtray in the room, so you can relax and smoke in your room. I think the cost performance is good as there is an elevator, air conditioning, and hot showers.

The location is perfect, right at the heart of the city. The view is great, too.
The staff are amazing: Bibek informed me about everything I asked, from means of transport to some specialties. I didn't have a kettle in the room, and he got me one.
The breakfast was nice, although served only starting from 11 am (which is a bit late to my taste).
The biggest issue is hot water that is warm, but i guess that's the case pretty much everywhere in Nepal. There's an AC, a bar of soap, a toothpaste and a toothbrush, a towel, two chairs, but no desk.

It was a great location and the staff at the front were very friendly. I was very grateful that when I had a problem, they immediately resolved it when I contacted them. And the restaurant on the 7th floor was also delicious. It was a room with a city view, and the large window let in plenty of sunlight, and the heater and hot water worked well. It was so warm and comfortable, and convenient facilities, shops, pharmacies, coffee shops, laundry, etc. are right nearby, so I recommend it👍 If I go to Thamel next time, I want to make a reservation again. thank you
