Ramada Encore by Wyndham Kathmandu Thamel Reviews

This is the second time I stayed at Ramada Encore in Thamel. I was not wrong to choose it again. Absolutely everything is good here ... the staff, the room,the breakfast (oh my, sooooo good), the location, the friendliness of every single employee, from the door in. A special recognition to Nikhil in the reception, whose service and support with a sincere smile is as comforting as the sunshine on an early autumn morning. And to the staff and therapists on the spa where I took a couple of massages that were superb. Kathmandu is a beautiful, yet hectic city. Thamel even more, so to have this oasis to come to after a long day wandering around or trekking is something to treasure. In my case, this is even more meaningful as I left all my stuff to go hiking on the Himalayas for several days, coming back to the hotel with the certainty that I was going to be happily and truly welcome. Again, I was not wrong. Thank you for making a difference and for understanding what the word service means. I will certainly choose you again and again every time I come back to this unique Kathmandu I learned to love. Namaste, 🙏🏼.

Hotel was clean and room was great. Just that the pool was small and hotel breakfast was little below average.

Ramada keeps it's name and value, it can be seen in this hotel. The staff are friendly and caring. Though it was only a short stay but the room was good enough. The beds are comfortable and has basic amenities. The balcony has good space. It's quite and peaceful from outside. A good sleep and a good stay. Happy with the service.

Good location, nice staff, good beds, diverse breakfast with child friendly and Chinese friendly foods. Did not allow outside food to be eaten in room. Ants invaded any food or drinks consumed in the room when hotel room service delivered. 好的地理位置，好的工作人员，好的床，多样化的早餐，儿童友好和中国友好的食物。不允许在房间里吃外面的食物。当酒店客房服务提供时，蚂蚁侵入了房间内的任何食物或饮料。

Good hotel, but the location does not have a wow factor.

Hotel is literally in the tamel area, close to restaurants, shops, tourist spots like garden of dreams, museum & casinos (for foreigners only) hotel room was clean and came with basic toiletries, breakfast was good, staff were friendly and helpful, would recommend

The location is on the edge of the pedestrian street in Thamel District, close to the pedestrian street, and very quiet. However, the entrance is a bit shabby. There are many European and American guests staying. The breakfast is a combination of Indian and Western styles. There is an outdoor dining area where you can smoke. The front desk is a bit small and not atmospheric. The hotel is listed as a four-star hotel. The hotel's service staff have very good attitudes and have no problem communicating in English at the front desk.

The room is quite decent, but it's in a downtown area. We cannot expect the same level in China. The simple bar on the rooftop is not bad, with relatively few choices.

The hotel is in the old town of Thamel, a 15-minute walk to the Palace Square.

Excellent hotel with clean rooms, location was brilliant, within walking distances to all the shops, breakfast was great, a highly recommended hotel, staff were great. We had three separate stays at this hotel due too our itinerary, they also looked after our bags during one of these excursions to Chitwan for 2 nights

Beautifully placed in the heart of Thamel. Really comfortable and luxurious stay in Kathmandu. The entire property and services were wonderful . I loved their rooftop swimming pool and the restaurant from where the view of nearby National park was amazing.

Water pressure was too much slow in washbasin....no hot water also Towels was not clean.... breakfast buffet was so-so The house keeping staff were also not given proper service All over our stay was average in this property Location of the property in narrow street
