The mattress and pillows had very bad smell like they had not been replaced for a couple of years. The food in Zing cafe at the lobby was just so so. The plastic table covers generally full of food debris without frequent changing. During the 7-day stay, the service at front desk, restaurant and for our room however was overall up to the standard of a 5-star hotel.

The hotel is located in a relatively high position and can see a large area of ​​the city. The receptionist on the G floor is very enthusiastic and can help call a taxi. We had also booked a car to go to Nagarkot to watch the sunrise in the morning. We departed from the hotel at 5 am and arrived at the viewing platform at 6:10 am.

Nice Old Hotel, Great Staff with few needs to improve. Swimming pool is totally disappointment. Better to shut down, than keep running and not swimmable, waist of energy. The water is dirty, no star at all. The lobby, the room and Ghurka bar are still great. 2 power shutdowns in 1 day, I believe they are struggling with power shortages due to dark lounges. Breakfast was so so, coffee or tea should be not a challenge to serve first, sometimes took half of meal before they come. Many Tables are not stable and aligned, egg can easily roll over to other side. Atleast 3 tables on my experience. Room is comfortable, nice bed and always fresh linen. Only noisy from AC , maintenance team came twice on my room to fix, though transfer was offered on my last 2 days. Managers should not standing in buffet line, either they should help the line staffs or directing the team, talking business in public is not of our guests concern. Front desk Trainee, has good presence, I thought first he is manager. A lot can be improved and polished, the hotel has a great potential, nice design, great facilities and great staffs. I wish that management should look all themselves and review those small details.

Must be praised, the staff is very friendly. Breakfast-included, breakfast is very simple, there are eggs and milk tea, it feels good. It’s really comfortable to talk about the hotel’s air conditioning again. Very cool. It’s great to sleep. The price is also relatively high, so I recommend everyone to live. Super Hospitality, amazing rooms and a very very positive vibe to the hotel. The hotel is located in a quaint corner of the happening location of Kathmandu - Thamel. What makes the hotel stand out is the extremely positive vibe that it has to it. It is located strategically, where the Thamel main market area and other happening areas are at a small walk, yet.. no traffic noise ever visits your ear when you're inside the rooms. The cherry on the cake is the the hospitality displayed by the staff and specially Mr Pathak is absolutely stupendous and perhaps one of the best ever. A highly recommended place.

Our group stayed at the Oasis Hotel before and after our trek to Everest Base Camp. The rooms and the service we fantastic. We stored our bags at the hotel when we went on the EBC trek. Because of weather and the Dashain Festival, we rescheduled our trek to go day later than originally planned. A member of our group came down with Dengue fever on the trek, so we had to return to Kathmandu two days early. Tulsi, the hotel manager, was incredibly helpful and was able to find us rooms to accommodate the changes. Tulsi and the staff at the hotel were very engaging, looked for ways to be of service, and always greeted us warmly. The hotel’s location is within easy walking distance to the shops in Thamel, in addition to having a lot good restaurants and cultural sites nearby. Our group was consistently impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, the free breakfast, and the friendliness of the staff. With the changes we had to our trek schedule, we really appreciated Tulsi and his staff taking care of us. We will definitely stay here when make the return trip to tackle the Everest Base Camp trek again.

We had a wonderful Stay once again thats twice in 10 months at Shanker Hotel, Kathmandu, we stayed in Nepal for 15 nights, Thank you very much to Mr Deepu Budhathoki for organising our stay, gracious hospitality and for hosting our trip for my marriage and previously my engagement last april may 2022.I MUST say, that the hospitality customer service from Mr Deepu along with the whole team from the porters all the way up to seniors was exceptional and second to None !!! without doubt!!!...Again to repeat and paraphrase, every member of staff were extremely efficient and tolerant and always respectful. They are an asset to the hotel, and I am Sure Mr Vinod and His son Mr Prajwol are very proud, who are the owners of this great establishment , who I met with several times in the lobby pool. side and during breakfast. In addiiton to this to this, credit to Housekeeping, Reception staff, night staff Mr Phabin Pun and Mr Sunit Shrstha and all security team. Finally the Business centre is great, as I had to work when I was there, plus they have great IT support namely Mr Milan,Travel team and Health Suite/Salon Further to this we were very Overwhelmed that Mr. Prajwol and his wife, gifted us a complimentary bottle of Champagne on my wedding day Subsequent to this, Housekeeping Manager,Mr Sajan Shrstha,decorated my room. thanks and regards to all, We felt we were at home from home,our stay was memorable and special, and the food was great Finally I deffinately recommend Hotel Shanker to any potential potential guests, kind regards, Ajay

A pleasant small hotel close to restaurants, cafes and tourist shops. Check in was quick, a cup of tea was provided and our suit cases were carried up 5 flights of stairs by the porter, as there was no lift! The room was nice, comfortable and warm- it was February. There was also a good view from the room. Overall a nice place to stay. We didn’t eat in the hotel but complementary breakfasts would have been a nice addition. The staff were friendly and provided some useful info of places to visit. The hotel also provided their vehicle to take us to the airport, at a cost.

King bed and balcony with lovely view of the city. The spa below is awesome at a good price of NPR1500 for 60min ayurvedic massage. There’s many other massages like swedish, deep tissue etc. Friendly staff service, airport pickup at a fee of NPR1300 or usd12. Only down side is the room is dark and the shower and shampoo is just simple soap so don’t expect spa smell types haha. 10min walk to Thamel centre with a junction thats hard to cross so follow the locals to cross will be the safest.

The hotel made a mistake in the room. We booked a deluxe room. The hotel gave a standard room. Since we had to leave at 11 am to go to the airport, the hotel manager did not go to work at 11 am, so there was no time to negotiate with the hotel. I hope that the room difference can be refunded. Ctrip should refund this fee first.

Stayed at KGH for 3 nights and my kids and I loved it. Service: After checking in, I found that the room next door was very noisy. I asked the front desk to change the room, and upgraded to a deluxe room for free. It is very quiet and comfortable, thank you Environment: This is a hotel with a history. The paintings on the walls, exhibits, museums (for a fee), art gallery, and hand-painting classes are all hidden in the hotel. The small garden can meet the play needs of young children Location: The hotel is in an alley, and there are small shops at the entrance. It is very convenient for shopping and eating. It is not far to go to several major attractions. Been here 2 times and this property will always be my first option when it comes to booking hotels in Thamel. I have had the worst experience with other hotels but not Norbulinka. The staffs are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is delicious and for my second visit I wanted a room decoration and Norbulinka provided me with the best room decoration I had ever seen. It was really beautiful. Everything is good including the location, comfortable rooms, cozy beds, and delicious meals. It's very quiet and peaceful at night, really like the location.

I lived my life in Canada, USA and Australia. Travelling is my passion. I have been to Nepal several times and visited besides Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Nepalgunj, Surkhet, Dullu etc and obviously have stayed at multiple hotels. In Thamel Kathmandu I have stayed in few very hotels but Hotel Osho is where I felt at home. This is my come back to this hotel for good reasons which is hard to find in Thamel. The location is the best and closest to everything in a quiet street. The hotel is very clean with helpful friendly staff. House keeping is excellent. Perfect terrace to relax comparing to many other hotels. Warm heated reception with first class facilities. Please contact Bishnu and he resembles his given name lord Vishnu, he solves all your problems. A friendliest hotel client representative I have ever met in Nepal. He was so open with pricing and kept his words with no strings attached etc eg tax .He even bought a digital scale to weigh my luggage. The facility does not have a lift service but the staff takes care of the luggage. I strongly advise that don’t waste your time searching just book Osho and try try believe me you will not regret. For sure I will return again as it is my second home when I am in Kathmandu, for this stay of 5 weeks still feels short.

Arrived in Kathmandu at 10 o'clock, it took about an hour to get luggage and go out of the customs. The pick-up service booked by Ctrip, the little brother waited outside the airport with a sign, and the waiting service was good during the heavy rain. When I arrived at the hotel, I fell asleep because I was too tired. I saw the hotel clearly the next morning. The hotel has a lot of history and rich culture. The front desk service staff, restaurant service staff, and the security guy at the door are very kind, and I can feel that it is real. Serve. I like breakfast because I am more suitable for Indian and Nepalese food. I had dinner at the hotel one day and was very satisfied.

We stayed 8 days in Kathmandu and felt very comfortable and well cared for. The rooms were nicely appointed and properly sized. The bed and bedding were comfortable and the decor was modern and tasteful. All of the staff were kind and friendly and offed help for arranging anything we needed. Dipesh, their barista prepared delicious coffee each morning and made a recommendation for Ayurvedic massage nearby, helping with reservations. It was an amazing massage. In the evenings, Bijay, their bartender was able to make exceptional cocktails and served us so well. We would definitely return and stay again.

We stayed at Hotel Atlantic in December and had a very comfortable stay. The Location is very good because its in a more quiet place but still in Thamel. The Breakfast is also nice and freshly made. Wonderful experience, great location and professional staff The Magnificent Hotel is an outstanding value for money. It is in great location, within walking distance of Asan Bazar, Durbar Square and the lively streets in the Thamel district. The hotel is on a safe street with restaurants, grocery store and even security agents. The hotel is clean and in good condition. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is comfortable, relaxing and breezing. The rooms are clean and comfortable. All communication for reservations or special request was perfect. However, what truly made the difference was the professional and caring staff. All were helpful, spoke multiple languages and proactive in providing help. One example is Kritika, who was absolutely exceptional, with a consistent positive attitude. She helped to explain the local riding sharing App inDrive. She helped me with the local cellphone provider Ncell. Help arranged laundry service and other useful information. Also Rajesh, the bar man was helpful to suggest local dishes. More importantly he was kind and interesting to discuss with. Finally, Ganga the manager was absolutely exceptional to ensure all was well organized and inspiring his staff. I had the occasion to speak with him many times and it was very enjoyable. We stayed in a Deluxe Family Suite room with two separate rooms, good air conditioning and shower and comfortable bed. Highly recommended

During my visit to Kathmandu I stayed in this hotel, the place is very well located in the center of the city but away from the noise, it’s easy to walk to the places you want to visit. The room and shared bathroom are comfortable and clean, every day you can see the cleaning staff doing their job. Every morning I practiced yoga on the roof. All the staff is friendly, I especially thank the Manager, Ashish, who helped me plan some routes and gave information, also to Binod Bhandari who is at the reception, always attentive, respectful and willing to answer questions. I recommend this hotel, it was my first visit to Kathmandu and I’m sure I will return in the future.

I found my stay in Hotel Hana to be excellent. hotel is located at a good location in Thamel(100 meters from narsingh chowk), rooms are very clean, have warm water 24/7, excellent breakfast. Owner Mr. Jagat is a very good person, he is very helpful, bargained on behalf of me, guided me on places to travel, he took care of my tickets without even getting any profit from me. When I visited the Everest Road, I stayed as an inn of Kathmandu. As a result, it was cozy and stayed at this hotel until the return flight after returning from Everest Road. The friendly attitude of the staff and the cleanliness of the room are a good impression. I think the momentum of the shower is different depending on the room, but I could use hot water without problems. The location is in the Tamel District, so it is noisy outside, but the room is quiet and calm. I visited the Swayanbunat Buddha Pagoda and the Narayanhiti Royal Palace on foot from here. I don't stay at other hotels in Kathmandu, but it is recommended.

The staff were lovely, attentive and super helpful - I arrived at midnight and they dealt with technology issues with payment without a word of complaint and were incredibly lovely in the morning with breakfast as well. However I’m unsure if the room had been properly cleaned before I arrived as there was a half used water bottle still in the room and some mould on the shower curtain. However those issues were nothing compared with how lovely and helpful the staff were - and the breakfast in the morning was great as well.
