Aelius Hotel & Spa ★★★★
"Me and my boyfriend went here for an evening of dining, the restaurant was beautiful. The staff were so polite and welcoming. Food was incredible (coming from an extremely fussy eater). Would definitely recommend coming here during your stay at the hotel."
Sol by Meliá Marina Beach Crete ★★★★
"A great relaxing massage by Selina in the Spa. Facilities for the hotel were amazing and really friendly staff."
Enorme Maya Beach ★★★★
"The lady selling the massage is very good at her job but the massage I got was very good and I have told everybody how good they were I would use again when I come back to the hotel the person selling was Elaine"
Olivae Mare Suites ★★★
"A great place to stay! The Suites only opened this year so it’s very new, with everything all clean and tidy. My husband and I have stayed in the pool suite room which gives you direct access to the pool area. The rooms are fully equipped with a kitchen and dining area, so you can eat in if that’s what you decided to do. Breakfast is included but this is delivered to your room every morning as there isn’t a restaurant area where you can go and sit. The food is very good and you get 3x options each plus a drink option. I’ll attach a photo of the menu. The rooms are cleaned every couple of days and you are provided with clean towels. The room also includes a hair dryer and iron which is super convenient! The suites are located right near to the main strip and beach so it’s within walking distance of everything! With a supermarket on the corner. Maria and Nikolas have been exceptional and can’t do enough for you. So very friendly! Maria is on hand 24/7 through what’s app so if you do need anything, she will answer straight away. We would stay here again! Thank you again for a great experience."
Ourania Apartments Hotel ★★★
"My husband and I stayed in one of the older rooms, it was dark and dingy, bathroom was scruffy with broken towel hooks and shower holder, no drawers to put clothes in, we overlooked all of these issues because you get what you pay for, however… be very careful of the steps in the apartment, they are dangerous, especially in the dark. The yellow and black strips on them are not fluorescent so still can’t be seen at night, if you are over a certain age or very young you could have a nasty accident! Guests as far back as 2019 have commented on these needless steps yet they are still there. Staff were friendly but only engaged with you if you sat at the bar, Beware of Stellios the barman, he watches guests on their cctv and comments on your behaviour if he deems it inappropriate, he also keeps count of your drinks and will tell you if he thinks you had too many! (Basically, if you hurt yourself on their property, by checking you on camera they can cover their backs if you complain) Food was just like you would make at home, fried breakfast, burgers, toasties, nothing amazing. Head receptionist has a massive chip on her shoulder and strong opinions about some guests The cleaners are amazing, they work so hard for such little money, don’t forget to leave them a tip! Don’t ask staff how to get to other places as none of them know, they don’t live locally. The pool is not big enough for the amount of guests, get up early if you want a poolside lounger as people put their towels on then go for breakfast! Balconies in some rooms are ridiculously small and chairs very close to the steps down to the pavement, if you lean back you'll be tumbling down them Aeroplane noise didn’t bother us as have lived on a uk airbase but it is directly above the hotel Just remember, if they weren’t nice to you , you wouldn’t go back, it’s just a job to them Don’t snap your key fob they’ll charge you a tenner to replace it All in all, if you don’t moan or complain about anything you will be liked, if not then fear their wrath, don’t even think about complaining to TUI, they are not interested in you after they have taken your money A disappointing holiday, will not return"
Elèa Concept Hotel & Suites ★★★★
"This place is top notch high end luxury. The Apartments are run by Yiannis the Son of Andonis and Maria and he has done a fantastic job. The newest Apartments have infinity pools and their own Cabanas on the ground floor and they are very trendy and modern. They have a huge TV in the room and a bathing area with a shower and toilet and twin basins. Very luxurious and designed by Yiannis and his wife Natalia. All apartments have Air conditioning and their own private balcony or terrace. There is a large pool area and a restaurant selling food and snacks every day until 3.30 pm. The Bar remains open until 10 pm at night and this is where the reception area is also. They provide cots and high chairs for babies, there are plenty of luxury sun beds around the pool and the whole place is immaculately clean and tidy. The family who run it all speak excellent English. This is well worth treating yourself for."
The Island Hotel - Adults Only - ★★★★★
"I was waiting more from the hotel… I don’t think the pictures shows exactly what the hotel offer… specially the pools… Me and my boyfriend had a very bad situation. We went to a tour in Santorini and the Ferry boat was late on the way back. Our guide called the hotel asking for a late dinner for us and the hotel said they would provide. When we reached in the hotel we saw that they put our food ON THE FLOOR, close to the room door. I made a mistake (I assume) I wanted hang out that thing saying “ make up my room” but I choose the wrong side and put there “ do not disturb “ But if our guide called the hotel saying that we were in Santorini of course they could go into the room to put our food in the fridge or keep in at the bar… I went down and talked to a guy in the repception showed him the picture I attached here and he answered me that was my mistake putting the “do not disturb” at the door and he could do nothing for us, we should eat that food that was on the floor 😱😡. No excuses for this… On the day after I talked to the manager and she apologized and gave us a voucher for the lunch. We apologized but I will never forget this situation…"
St. Constantin Sea Hotel and Spa Resort ★★★★
"Would highly recommend this hotel had a lovely time staff are great x"
Hotel Hara Ilios Village ★★★★
"After we visited the Hara Ilios apartments back in august 2022, we couldn’t wait to turn back to this beautiful hotel. I’ll be writing about our first time here (august 2022). We had an amazing warm welcome at the reception with a cool lemon drink when we waited for the key to our room. We got a room upgrade, where we surprisingly had a suite with a private pool! We didn’t book this suite in the first place, but ofcourse we didn’t mind! The second time we came around, we booked a normal room. Obviously it was not as luxurious as the first time, but it was great anyway! The room is being cleaned every morning. The hotel is also very eco friendly giving that they only put clean towels in the room, if you’ve thrown your dirty towels on the bathroom floor. They mention this when you first come into your room as well, to strive for a green environment. We thought this is a very big step to sustainability coming from a hotel! The public pool was also great and very clean. The bar next to the pool area is provided with tropical cocktails, delicious bites and friendly staff. The hotel is near the coast, so if you rather bathe in the sea, it’s only 2 minutes away from where you are staying! There are a few restaurants close to the hotel, but if you’d rather stay in for the night, you can also dine at the hotels restaurant. The buffet here has a broad range of food, and also has a delicious choice of desserts. As the hotel is not too far located from the Heraklion airport, there are many planes that fly over. We found it really awesome to see these arrive throughout the entire day, but I quite understand it to be annoying to some people. There are multiple ways to explore the island. To go from Gouves, where the hotel is, you can take the bus at bus stop 13 to Heraklion, the capital city of the island. The hotel also has connections with tour guides that provide excursions to multiple areas of Crete. Not only do you visit the beautiful landmarks of the isle, but you also see the magnificent landscapes during the bus ride. The third way to get to know the island better, is to rent a car that the hotel provides. We didn’t do this, but it’s a great opportunity to discover the area yourself! Last but not least, the staff was incredibly friendly. The second time we visited, they remembered us. It was truly amazing to see how well the hotel is treating their guests! They are an ultimate factor in the experience of our time here! An amazing thank you to the crew! Both of our stays were excellent!"
