This is truly an amazibg stay, very close to the 3 sisters walk, i checked in late and the person at the counter was very helpful. Is cosy lodge with unlimited number of room😂.It has all the amenities needed, a balcony to view the entire mountains. It gets quite cold at night as it doesnt really have a heater. Overall amazing stay.

The room only has a bed and a wash basin, a shared kitchen, a shared toilet, and a shared bathroom. The only thing that surprised me was that there was no wash basin in the toilet, everyone had to go back to their room to wash their hands. There is no elevator to go up or down the stairs (the price is cheap, as expected).

It's a really quiet and warm place. If you're traveling to the Blue Mountains as an individual, I'll recommend it here. You can relax comfortably.

I had a great time while staying at the lodge. Perfect budget accomodation and well located for exploring the blue mountains. I found the owner/staff to be very accommodating and friendly. If I'll ever visit the blueys again, I'd probably choose it again :)

The owner was super nice. I had a booking for a week and was already checked in, but had to leave after one night to take care of some matters, and the owner was willing to refund me the remaining nights partially in money and partially in credits for later use. This never happens with hostels. Very positive experience.

Out of all the places to stay in Katoomba I’d say that the mountain lodge is the best value for money. It’s right by the shops and everything else is within walking distance. The owner is a very hard working and genuinely kind person so he’ll make sure you’ll have everything you need so that your stay is a pleasant one. As a backpacker it has everything you need and is an ideal location especially if you enjoy hiking.

The Host Ronnie was very helpful and friendly. I had a single room- the bedding was soft and cosy, and the bed was good. The location is perfect as walking distance to Coles and train station (but steep!). Had a very quiet stay which was perfect for me. Met a few other backpackers which was nice and generally really enjoyed my stay. Love the retro decor and felt very cosy. Heater in room was needed as very cold mornings! Would definitely recommend and stay again

On arrival the place appeared rundown but not terribly bad. We arrived late and settled into a shared 4 bed dorm. We got lucky and it was just us to start. After an hour of sleep on a bed of rocks, a guest (who was called an annoyance by staff to me) was placed in our room. The gentleman was drunk and noisy upon arrival, up and down with all the lights on and off at least once an hour. This would have been fine except I was informed by an unapologetic and rude staff member the next day (hours after checking out) that there was a spare room he could have been placed in. Being in a shared dorm you expect other travellers, we ourselves had just driven for 15 hours from queensland. The first thing we were hoping to do upon arrival was shower, alas there was no towels to be found anywhere in the premises. And not for a lack of searching either as I searched both that night and the next morning before we left. The room was provided with a tiny electric space heater, which combined with a broken window and high ceilings, did nothing to keep any heat as we froze in our beds all night to the sound of our roommates jet plane snoring. The next morning we promptly checked ourselves out by 10am. Whilst we waited to see if any staff would show (in case you're wondering, they didnt), we shopped around online for a new hotel. Having found a new hotel who could get us in (and with a working shower) by 11am we sent a text to the property asking them to contact us. I prebooked 2 beds for 10 nights, of which we stayed for 1. None of which has been refunded, or acknowledged, after multiple attempts to contact the hostel I was told to take it up with *********** from the rudest staff member I had yet to speak to. After following all the steps on *********** I was ignored by the property for 10 days. In this time I have called and sent multiple messages to the property. I would not recommend my worst enemy stay with the conditions we were greeted with. I am yet to receive any communication from the hostel regarding my stay.
