I had family business every afternoon of my stay so my mornings were relaxed. I hung the 'housekeeping later' sign on my doorknob every night so I could sleep in the next morning and prepare for my day at leisure. I left around 11 am or 12 noon every day and removed the sign each time I left. My room was never serviced by housekeeping the entire 5 day/4 night stay.
When I checked in they told me housekeeping comes every other day which I was perfectly fine with. To be honest, I don't need my bed made every day and I can use the same towels over 4 nights. But, I ran out of TP after two nights and was expecting housekeeping to come that day.
But when I got back to the hotel later that evening I saw they still hadn't come. So I called the front desk and explained that housekeeping never came even though I had removed the sign each day and that I was more or less okay with that, but that I needed TP. They told me to come down and they would give me some. I wasn't really upset by any of it, and I could have certainly requested them to service the room the next day, but since all I really needed was TP I just let it go. But I did have to get some more TP one more time. And the more I thought about it the more I realized they really dropped the ball on my room.
Otherwise the hotel was fine. The room was fine, the free breakfast was good enough, and the location was convenient to my family business in Katy. I will stay there again when I have to go back.
