The Hotel is nice and clean and the staff is super friendly. The property is well maintained and we loved all the chickens and peacocks that would join us for breakfast. Nice and quiet area - but you will need a car to get to shopping, food and beaches. Would definitely recommend.

This inn completely surpassed our expectations! From start to finish, it was a wonderful stay. A few highlights from our visit:
Impeccable Room: The space was incredibly clean and offered plenty of room to stretch out and relax comfortably.
Warm Welcome: The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
Serene Atmosphere: It was quiet and peaceful throughout our entire stay, making it the perfect place to unwind.

We loved our stay here. It felt cozy and quaint. The chickens will jump on your table and try to snatch your food though. They also throw out the food at the end of breakfast time so you may as well grab more to save as a road snack

Hidden gem with old-school island charm
We absolutely loved our stay at The Kauai Inn! It has such a peaceful, laid-back atmosphere and feels way more authentic than the big resort hotels.
The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the whole property was lush and green — surrounded by mountains and palm trees. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed.
Location was perfect for exploring the island — close to Līhuʻe, but quiet and tucked away. We’d 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a more local, relaxed experience.

- (As of March 2026) Due to road closures, access from the airport was a long detour and a little inconvenient.
- Towels and sheets are not changed unless requested.
- I felt something like house dust or mold in the room, which caused sneezing and coughing.
- The air conditioner was quite loud, making it difficult to sleep with it on.
Overall, despite some minor issues, considering the price, the satisfaction level is high, and I think it's a good place to stay casually on Kauai.
