The Inn at English Meadows

We had a wonderful stay the first weekend in May and could not speak highly enough about this beautiful inn. Friendly and hospitable service from the moment we were greeted at the door by the owner through the fond farewell offer by the breakfast team on our departure day. We stayed in the Carriage Suite on the top floor and though the inn was fully occupied, we had a great sense of privacy. It was a lot of space for two but we enjoyed spreading out. A king sized bed, kitchenette, walkout balcony and living room with remote control fireplace. The owner was gracious enough to walk us through the entire property to be sure we knew where everything was located. Told us about the exciting additions being constructed in the rear to include a fire pit. Room was immaculately clean, sheets were crisp, folded bathrobes on the bed, a fully stocked Nespresso machine and nice stemmed wine glasses. Daily breakfast offerings were tasty and creative. Location was perfect and though walking distance to nearby restaurants and shops, bicycles were available as well. Plenty of snacks and freshly baked goods in the lobby along with wine selections for sale by the glass. Loved our visit and will be sure to return.

A lovely stay and a lovely place! From the time we checked in until we left, they couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. The proprietor Carmen helped us with anything we needed. We rode bikes and walked to local attractions. I would definitely return. We stayed in Room 8, and while it was a little small but perfect for us.

Book the stay! We were blown away from the moment we walked into The Inn at English Meadows. From the warm greeting to the staff's presence but not intrusiveness, the hospitality is simply unmatched. The innkeeper, Carmen, was friendly, pleasant, knowledgeable, and easily accessible. We needed help starting the firepit one night, so we texted Carmen, and she swiftly came out to assist us. The wine vending machine is a fun addition that allows you to sample quality wines at any time at a reasonable price. We LOVED this feature. The breakfast is dreamy and so yummy. We are still discussing the first morning's blueberry and peach french toast. Also, Carmen and the Owner, Susan, ensure that your coffee cup never goes empty, which is phenomenal. I cannot recommend this Inn enough. Thank you, Carmen and Susan, for an incredible stay in one of my favorite places.

We spent 5 nights at The Inn at English Meadows and thoroughly enjoyed being there! The location is perfect to explore the southern coast of Maine. I can’t say enough about the hospitality that we enjoyed and the food was amazing! Every morning, we had a delicious, creative breakfast presented by a wonderful staff! Melissa (chef) was delightful and a wizard in the kitchen, Amber (guest services) did a great job taking care of all our needs! The Inn is beautiful and we loved our stay! Thank you! Kent and Debi

What an absolutely wonderful stay we had at the beautiful The Inn at English Meadows. From the time we arrived until the morning we checked out we were treated with elegance, kindness, and best of Service. Thank you Diane. Our guest room was beautiful and just what we hoped, absolutely clean and complete with fluffy towels and robes. Our breakfasts prepared by the amazing Melissa were truly delicious. And how we enjoyed the warm afternoon cookies. We highly recommend this Inn.

Our stay was just one night, but it all you could ask for in a comfortable stay. Jane, one of the owners, served as our innkeeper and could not have been nicer. She is warm and friendly and she was always available to answer our questions. A wonderful host. Our breakfast was an amazing creation from Chef Melissa and a wonderful touch was a candle in my french toast for my birthday. We are so happy we found this Inn and will be back.

We had a wonderful, restful stay at this lovely inn. It was a quick, one night get-away but this inn was perfect! The host is delightful and highly attentive to her guests. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated (as was the entire inn) and comfortable. The common areas were welcoming and comfortably appointed. There was a “wine dispenser” which we thoroughly enjoyed and complimentary snacks, seltzers and afternoon cookies (delicious)! Breakfast was yummy; a yogurt parfait with fresh fruit and granola, homemade blueberry pancakes, bacon and freshly brewed coffee and juice. The grounds were also lovely; twinkling lights welcomed us home from dinner and we enjoyed the birds having their breakfast at the freshly filled bird feeders in the morning when we were leaving! I would highly recommend a stay at this wonderful inn and we’ll definitely be back!

What a gem! Our room was quiet with a fireplace and heated tiles in the gloriously large bathroom. Breakfast was wonderful and the common area's amenities cannot be beat. Our hostesses were awesome. Super comfortable bed and great space for our dog. We will definitely be back!

We went to English Meadows Inn this past weekend with Paint the the town red theme celebrations for valentines. The Inn is very nice and clean. Our room was very spacious with a fire place to keep us warm on a very chilly weekend. Breakfast was delicious and presented very nicely. We ordered a charcuterie board with champagne and it was present in our room. The town is walkable from the inn and the restaurants were all great. The classic car museum was near the inn and very worth to see.
