Hiking the Dingle Way, staying at the Coil An Rois was one of, if not the best stay of the whole trip. Jimmy is a big heart all-in host that makes you feel at home and at ease the second you enter the house. Sharing a cab with two Dutch travelers the following day, i was telling them how amazing my host was, greeting me when I arrived after a looong day home with a cup of tea and homemade cookies, and how helpful he’d been, the taxi driver honed from the front, “oh, you stayed at Jimmy’s.” Having a reputation for being great is great; more so when I’ve experienced it myself. It’s the only b&b place I’ve stayed in in this trip that offers a family room sitting area. In all other places, the guests are “confined” to their room, with no public area to sit and relax. This is one place I’ll return to. Thank you!

We stayed here for the Dingle Arts & Science Festival with a Theatre Group from Armagh. Noreen and Jimmy are lovely welcoming hosts. Accommodation was superb and the serenity of the location was beautiful, breakfast was freshly made and delicious (porridge was the nicest I have ever tasted). With Jimmy being a pastry chef the homemade scones and biscuits are to die for. Both Noreen and Jimmy are great conversationalists and the craic was good. We will definitely come back next time we're in Kerry. Thank you Jimmy & Noreen for a wonderful stay Gráinne & John

We'd stayed with Jimmy on our first trip to Ireland in 2011, and enjoyed his hospitality so much we returned on this trip. He literally will do anything a caring family member would do to make your trip pleasant and successful. Our experience is too long to share here, but suffice it to say he drove to pick us up (4 travelers and luggage) when we got 2 flat tires on the way to his place, took us to and from a nearby pub for dinner that evening and arranged to have our car fixed by 9 a.m. the next morning so our trip wasn't interrupted. His B&B is conveniently and beautifully located near Dingle (9 mi. easy drive). His rooms are spacious and comfortable. His breakfast menu is varied and the food very good. Stay here, you won't regret it.

I went for two nights with my Son and Grandson. We were provided with a Family room (3 single beds) which was ideal. As the "Grandad", I was keen that my 13 year old grandson would experience the Irish Language bing spoken natively during our stay in Corca Dhuibhne, Feothanach, Muiríoich and Baile na nGall. The accommodation was ensuite and excellent. We were greeted by the host (Fear an Tí) Jimmy Bruic who provided us with Tea, Coffee and Freshly baked Home Make cakes and scones on arrival. Jimmy does all his own baking and cooking. The Cooked Breakfast was 10/10 - absolutely excellent - a full range of cereals were also available. Both Nóirín and Jimmy are native Irish speakers and spoke both languages to us. Irish was our preferred language. They spoke English to foreign visitors and to people not fluent in Irish. Bhí a gcuid Gaeilge (Gaolainne) thar bharr. The hospitality and the standard of accommodation and food was absolutely superb . We highly recommend it.

This gem is outside of Dingle and well worth the short drive. Comfortable, clean rooms have been the standard for two different visits. Jimmy cooks a made to order breakfast and treats guests with great kindness. Be sure to ask for his recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants, and fun - you’ll be glad that you did!

We absolutely loved staying here! Jimmy and Noreen were so welcoming and helpful with suggestions of Dingle. They made the best food we had in Ireland, even though we had a super early departure. This was a fun stay with great accommodations.

The best way to describe a stay at Coill An Rois is that you are treated and greeted as very welcome guests rather than paying customers. If you want an anonymous stay in a bland, corporate, faceless hotel, then this place is not for you. As others have said, Jimmy provides a fabulous cooked-to-order breakfast, the rooms are very comfortable and the views from the property are stunning! It’s been by far the best place we’ve stayed in during our trip on the southern part of the Wild Atlantic Way and, at the time of writing, we’ve got a week to go! I’m confident that nothing will beat it and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Fantastic 2 night stay with Jimmy. As a trained pastry chef his own breakfasts and arrival tea time treats were wonderful, and he provided terrific recommendations for local meals in Dingle as well as sightseeing and hiking insights. Had a great stay and would highly recommend.
