Very comfortable. Nice rooms, well appointed. Great shower. Lovely full cooked breakfast. Hidden away but found easily. Lots of easy parking, Wi-Fi good for remote area. Would recommend highly and definitely come back for another trip to see Skelligs.

My wife and I are going through the NC500 in Scotland. Best place we've been, so far: amazing small village, extremely helpful staff, beautiful bedroom, delicious breakfast. The bed was also very comfortable.

They asked for me to pay via bank transfer to avoid credit card fees. This provides no consumer protection, and raises red flags with me concerning fraud, so I cancelled. After cancelling they used my credit card details to charge me the full price of the stay.. This is not the normal practice of the all the other establishments I have used via a well know booking website.

Had a fabulous stay with lillian and Dominick, house was so lovey filled with old style charm like stepping back in time. There are 2 Ducks and a lovely little Dog phoebe just pottering around with add to the lovey athmosphere, food was delicious and the hosts couldn’t have been more friendly well worth a visit. My grandson zac left his precious porg teddy behind and was so upset and a couple of days later he was returned to us in the post by Lillian and Dominick,to say they went over and beyond is an understatement, thank you so much.

Lillian welcomed us even though we arrived late and provided an early continental breakfast for the members of our party who needed to leave early. Dominick advised us on what to see in the area. We were treated so kindly that I feel I can wholeheartedly recommend this B&B to others.

Lily and Dominick are the absolute best. Enhanced our Ireland experience 10x. They both were extremely accommodating and The Old Schoolhouse is a great place to stay in the countryside with friends and family. 10/10 would recommend and stay again. Also, The traditional Irish breakfast is delicious!

Visiting SW Ireland? Stay here. You will not be disappointed. Our hosts Lillian and Dominick are some of the most lovely people we’ve ever met. We arrived as guests and left three days later as friends. Singing songs and telling stories every night of our stay was such a highlight and made our trip exponentially more enjoyable. I truly hope we are able to enjoy their company again very soon.

This B&B is old, quirky, charming and a very interesting place to stay. The room was large and clean, although cold and a little damp, even during our stay in June, we had to turn on a heater but at least the heater was readily available, the building is old so the cold is something to be expected, it was very comfortable otherwise. We enjoyed our stay with our 3 children and found the hosts to be friendly and hospitable during the stay, the food was of an average standard but we enjoyed it. There were games to play in the common area which was lovely. The children also enjoyed the garden which was quirky and unusual. I was a little surprised when we checked in on arrival and asked if I should pay now, to be told payment had already been taken from my credit card before we arrived, most places give you the option of how you would like to pay when you arrive and even give you the option of paying at checkout if you so wish, there was no option given. I didn't say anything about this and just thought they may have been caught before by people not paying and didn't think any more of it. I was extremely surprised a few days after arriving home when I checked my credit card to see that 2 days after the payment of €150 for our stay had been processed, another payment for €55 had been taken from my card. I rang the B&B and the owner put me through to her husband who said that he had taken the money as he thought that one of my children may possibly have broken a glass ball in the pond outside, he did not see it happen and did not know if it had been one of my children or not, but felt it might have been so he took the money! I was pretty shocked about this, he said he had done it as he had no other way of contacting me and knew I would ring when I saw it. I tried to stay calm and said I would discuss it with my children, I did this with them individually and all 3 gave me the same explanation that they had seen the ball but that it had been in 2 halves when they saw it, so it had already been broken before they got there. I told the man that he should not have kept my credit card details or taken money without authorisation. He kept saying how the ball was expensive and of sentimental value, I felt that he may need the money and didn't really know what kind of person I was dealing with so just to end the really unpleasant situation, I said I would go halves with him as he seemed to feel so strongly about it, he then said it was okay he would refund me. I still have not recevied any money back. I am not sure how many people this has happened to, there were two other families staying on the same night and I don't know if I was the only one this happened to or not. It spoiled our weekend away and I would have recommended this B&B to friends and other families but now I cannot possibly do. Myself and my children were left feeling quiet upset about the whole situation, it was our first weekend away in over a year and it left a very negative shadow on the
