This is a modest, slightly old-fashioned hotel. My single room looked quite freshly renovated, though. Enough space to store your things, even a (very small) room safe, a clean and functional bathroom. Cleanliness in the room itself was mediocre (some spots on the carpet and it didn't look like they cleaned the space under the bed, but it wasn't too bad). Quite comfortable bed. Small, acceptable breakfast. The location is convenient, in easily walkable distance from the main train station and close to the Stena Line ferry as well - though the immediate vicinity isn't particularly nice. Reception was closed overnight at the time of my stay. For the price, the hotel is alright.

I spent hours researching hotel options in Kiel (never been, was invited to a birthday party), and wound up in this hotel. No question that the hotel offers the best location for Kiel activities at the best price. They have regular sized rooms and larger rooms facing the waterfront, expect to have each room come with everything you expect in a 4 star hotel. In-house parking available, just about everything worth doing in Kiel can be reached by foot, the ferry boats leave from a pier virtually across the street. If you have the time, definitely take the ferry to Laboe, other side of the harbor bay, where you will find a wide variety of beach front restaurants and shops and the U995 WWII submarine exhibit - above ground, with the price of admission (around $10) you can walk it stern to bow. Anyway, back to the hotel - this is the best option for the money, do not hesitate to book.

A very new, modern hotel directly opposite of Kiel's main train station, and therefore also close to the Scandinavian ferries. My room was spotless, with a nice minibar and coffee machine. It was also quiet (facing the courtyard/ city). Good breakfast, though the seating was a bit... well, not cramped, but I would have appreciated more small tables for 1-2 persons. Overall a very good and relaxing experience, still.

#Praise# for sound insulation, close to restaurants, location, lighting in the room, hotel smell, satisfactory price/performance ratio; The hotel is at the entrance of the train station. It is very convenient. There are several bus lines and supermarkets and restaurants around. The hotel room is very soundproof and the room size is suitable. It is not small in Germany. The only dissatisfaction is that the shower room is too small, but the shower water is sufficient. The water temperature is very good.

Stayed for one night on our way to Norway and can't fault the hotel at all. Very clean, congrats to the housekeeping team! Excellent breakfast with a lot of variety. Attention to detail, as for example there are mirrors with a keyhole in the corridors, where most likely housekeeping is storing their stock. A classy way to hide those storage rooms. Nice touch! Only 'negative', the toilet roll holder is installed somewhat behind the toilet, so not ideal to reach. But now we are just nitpicking..

CChristina vDas Frühstück war gut und das Personal aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Zimmer war leider schrecklich. Wir waren im Nebengebäude. Der Standard war - was wir vorher wussten - nur 3 Sterne, was an sich völlig ok ist. Aber das Zimmer (Nr. 340) war weder richtig sauber (wurde dann nachgereinigt), noch war es in einem angemessenen Instandhaltungszustand. Im Bad Sprünge in den Fliesen, korrodierte Armaturen, fleckiger Waschtisch, verbreitet Roststellen an der Heizung. Im Zimmer ein Glastisch mit diversen Abplatzungen, Flecke auf dem Sofa, ein Fenster ließ sich gar nicht mehr öffnen und der Teppich hat seine besten Zeiten auch schon lange hinter sich. Wenn Sachen alt sind, ist das nicht schlimm, aber sie müssen schon in Ordnung sein. Dafür dann 320 Euro für zwei Nächte zu nehmen, ist schon ein starkes Stück. Auf unsere Reklamation hin wurde uns von Frau Birke mitgeteilt, dass sie da außer einer Nachreinigung nichts machen könne. Die Reinigung sei auch ein bekanntes Problem, weil das ukrainische Reinigungspersonal immer so traurig sei und nicht zuverlässig arbeite. Den ansonsten schlechten Erhaltungszustand des Zimmers fand Frau Birke für den Preis in Ordnung, schließlich sei das Frühstück toll und uns stünde ja auch der Wellnessbereich zur Verfügung. Das wäre als Argument aber selbst dann Blödsinn, wenn es nur ein 1-Sterne-Zimmer wäre. Dass ein Zimmer sauber und heil ist, ist doch wohl die Grundlage?! Das uns angebotene kostenlose Upgrade bei einem künftigen Besuch war jedenfalls kein Trost - es versteht sich von selbst, dass wir in dieses Hotel sicher nie wieder fahren werden. Was wohl auch in das Angebot eingepreist war...

Apart from the Ibis Hotel, the hotel room offers a kitchen line. For families practically, you don't always have to go to dinner. Supermarkets, shopping malls and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity. The hotel has an elevator and free Wi-Fi As in the IBIS Hotel, breakfast is Mo-Fr 06:30 to 10:30 and Sa+So 07Uhr-11. Drinks like water and coffee are available free to 22:00. There is also a bar in the dining room. Eat there until 22:00, drinks until midnight The TV in the room works well.

2235matthiasbAfter a 12-day cruise, we wanted to make the holiday expire in Kiel for two days and have booked a room in advance ... I was allowed to conduct a very friendly telephone call and we were offered a great room. At the arrival (the only small manko) it was unfortunately not possible for the hosts to pick up our bag 🧳 from the port, but we were offered to order a taxi for us. What I thank you for refusing because we were standing in front of us about 50 taxis (which no one wanted to carry us just about 200 meters) so to third with 2 small children and 6 bags from the hotel 🏨 At the reception was a very friendly Reception was explained everything exactly and a city plan we also got in the hand coffee machines for free use 24h top In the next 2 days we were also welcomed with names very friendly and we were explained the buffet , it missed Practically no such staff needs the gastronomy rooms were and were picked up by Picobello and the baggage transport ordered by the reception to the railway station has also best knocked up inches and once I'll be back in Kiel I'm coming back here

Overall experience was positive The hotel is located on Kiel's ”flordo” in a strategic position for those who have to take off for cruises (10 minutes walk from the terminal), it is also near the railway station and buses. The hotel has a private parking. Standard, clean and discreetly soundproofed rooms. nice staff. Excellent quality price ratio. Absolutely recommended.

WwieselwaemserEtwas altbackenes Hotel, fußläufig oder mit dem e-Scooter vom Hauptbahnhof zu erreichen • freundliche Empfangsdame, die uns aufgrund der derzeitigen Belegung einen Check-Out bis 14:00 Uhr einräumte • Lift; sauberes, ausreichend großes Zimmer – etwas kahl und ohne Nachttisch, bequemes Bett, WLAN mäßig, kein Wasserkocher/Minibar • kleines Bad mit Dusche und „anhänglichem“ Duschvorhang -> alles soweit recht gut, wäre da nicht das Reinigungspersonal: zunächst wahrgenommen durch lautes Poltern beim Reinigen der Nebenzimmer: zuschlagende Türen, ständiges Anschlagen mit dem Staubsauger. Den Damen scheint der Gast völlig gleich zu sein. Das Highlight: Nach 11:00 Uhr, dem eigentlichen Check-Out, klopfte es heftig mehrfach gegen unsere Zimmertür. Zwei erboste Damen vom Reinigungsdienst ermahnten uns das Zimmer umgehend zu verlassen. Wir teilten ihnen mit, dass uns das Zimmer bis 14:00 Uhr versprochen war; dieses interessierte sie nicht im Geringsten und sie drohten mit der Berechnung einer weiteren Nacht. Wir checkten umgehend aus und kommen nicht wieder. Hinweis an die Geschäftsleitung: Bitte überdenken Sie die Personalfrage.

Receptinist played as if hos english is poor insisting room is the booked one, so you will risk you will not get what you book as there is definitely wrong marketing of rooms: Do not believe in pictures!. Other than that, you will not die if you stay one day here in transit as we did. But, room we stayed was dirty, including toilet/bathroom which is not ok. And we used our own towels as ones we had in room were not clean

Unfortunately, the condition of the bathroom was unsatisfactory, with limescale deposits in the shower under the toilet, and a slight smell of urine in the air. I got 89 euros at the reception for 67 euros through the app, which is related to my high standards. In addition, there is a breakfast that should be charged 15 euros. I personally think that these two breakfasts are too much. Personally, I will go on a business trip and sleep here again, but privately, I may not necessarily spend my vacation there.

It's really dirty here in parts. I was here for a few days, then it took a break and then I came back. The urine stains were still on the toilet when I came back. When I wanted to complain, they were gone. BUT the fluff that I placed specifically so that it would catch your eye (large) has been on the floor for over a week. Ugh! There's also dirt on the toilet door. What bothers me most is that it's so loud here. You can't get any peace and quiet in this hotel. The doors slam shut very loudly. The staff talk very loudly in the courtyard. And tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. it will be really loud. The clinking of dishes like in a commercial kitchen. Tables and chairs are going crazy and you can hear the squeaking everywhere. I haven't been able to sleep in once. I'm totally irritable. The noise here is really terrible. And the WiFi keeps breaking. There's no love in the work here. Everything seems very cold... even though the staff are very nice. In case of emergency before you end up on the street, OK, but I wouldn't do it again voluntarily. Oh yes, and the showers were very rarely cleaned. I'm disappointed.
