Auf dem Weg in den hohen Norden, beschlossen wir kurzerhand zu übernachten. So ca 300KM vor Kiel (im Stau) und ohne ordentliche Internetverbindung, war es schwierig ein Hotel vom Auto aus zu reservieren. Wir riefen zahlreiche Hotels in Hamburg, Flensburg und Kiel an, die entweder belegt waren oder kein Dreibettzimmer hatten. Die Dame im Tom Kyle war äußerst zuvorkommend, reservierte uns das Zimmer und meinte wir sollten uns doch einfach melden, falls wir es bis 21:00 Uhr nicht schaffen würden. Check in 18:30 Uhr verlief prompt. Wir übernachteten im Zimmer 303. Ein Zimmer unter dem Dach kann beengend wirken, aber in diesem Fall war es sehr einladend. Da es doch etwas warm war, freuten wir uns über die Aircon. Nachts auch ohne mit gekipptem Fenster. Ruhiger geht nicht. Das Hotel liegt in einer Wohngegend und trotzdem mitten drin. 15 Geh-Minuten zur Promenade. Das Zimmer war wirklich blitzeblanke sauber. Das Bad, ebenfalls klinisch sauber und sehr groß. Endlich auch ausreichend Badetücher & Handtücher für uns 3. Das „Alles was Dein Herz begehrt Frühstück“ war die Krönung und im Preis von € 189,00 inkludiert. Darüber waren wir sehr überrascht. Wir können dieses Hotel wärmstens empfehlen. Oh und Parkplatz vor der Tür gibt es auch. Wir hatten eine private Garage im Hinterhof für € 14,00. Kudos an das gesamte Team!

I had a very disappointing experience at Hotel Tom Kyle in Kiel. I had a paid voucher that I attempted to use for a night’s stay. Despite the hotel having available rooms, they refused to accept my voucher for the desired date. Instead, they offered me an alternative date that did not fit into my vacation plans. The staff was neither helpful nor accommodating, and they seemed indifferent to my situation. It felt as though they did not value their guests or the agreements they had made. Additionally, I was not offered any form of compensation or alternative solution, which only made the experience worse. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you plan to use a voucher or prepaid service. I expect far better service and flexibility from a hotel, and Hotel Tom Kyle did not meet my expectations at all. Avoid this place if you want a reliable and hospitable experience.

Ruhig gelegenes Hotel etwas außerhalb von Kiels Altstadt aber in der Nähe zum UKSH. Sofern keine Veranstaltungen wie die Kieler Woche sind, ist es preiswert. Die Zimmer sind dem preis entsprechend, sauber und einfach. Das Personal ist freundlich. Leider ist das Hotel nur schwer mit den Öffentlichen zu erreichen.

Het Tom Kyle hotel in Kiel is een schot in de roos. Prima uitvalsbasis (of tussenstop zo u wilt) voor het vertrek met de ferry naar Oslo. Goed hotel, prima comfort (koffie/thee op de ruime kamer, heerlijke douche in de eigen badkamer, sfeervol ingericht, lekker bed (wel iets te kort voor mensen van bijna 2 meter) en een waanzinnig verzorgd luxe ontbijt). Auto kan tegen betaling (€10/nacht) op het parkeerterrein van het hotel staan.

Et fint hotel, pænt og rent. Der er parkering i P hus 2min gang fra hotellet der kan bruges når man spøger i receptionen. Morgen buffeten er ok, ikke kæmpe men der er hvad man skal bruge. Der er en del restauranter lige om hjørnet og by mitten kan nås på 10 min gang.

Sehr gutes 3Sterne Hotel. Ausgesprochen nettes Personal. Perfekt e Lokalisation da 5min zum Uniklinikum und 10 min in die Altstadt. Alles völlig problemlos vom Check in bis zum Check out. Zimmer sind funktional, alles blitzsauber. Also alles super

The Hotel has a nice central location and a very service minded staff. The hotel are updated and the rooms has a high cleaning standards. The breakfast has a big variety but was without bacon for the scrambled eggs :-)
It is possible to book a garage, but this is only for smaller cars, bikes or motorcycles.
I will highly recommend this hotel and we will also use this hotel for our next visit in Kiel.
