Best Hotels near Kiel-Elmschenhagen, Kiel

Hotel was in chaos when we arrived. Staffing issue with the room cleaners, only one on duty. The reception area was full of guests waiting for their rooms. We eventually got into ours at 18.30 that night. The reception staff were doing their best to keep the guests happy, They were working really hard and were terribly stressed.. Caroline in particular did an amazing job. Our room, when we got into it, was comfortable and reasonably clean. Location is very good, close to the harbour and station. Breakfast was very busy but there was plenty of choice of food and again the catering staff were working very hard. I had the impression that there are some management issues at the hotel. I felt sorry for the staff that were obviously doing their best but needed more support. Having said that it was a good stay for us and Kiel was an interesting and surprisingly lovely place to visit.

I wanted to book the room directly at B&B via the Internet. It was an offer of over 75,- €/night with breakfast. When I wanted to book it was on the side that all the rooms are loaded. Then I have to book a room over partners (trip.com) for 116,- €/night without breakfast. When we arrived at the hotel, we wanted to have breakfast next morning. Since we did not book the hotel directly at B&B, the staff member wanted to No discount (10 %). Then our appetite was passed and we had a very good breakfast next morning.

This is a modest, slightly old-fashioned hotel. My single room looked quite freshly renovated, though. Enough space to store your things, even a (very small) room safe, a clean and functional bathroom. Cleanliness in the room itself was mediocre (some spots on the carpet and it didn't look like they cleaned the space under the bed, but it wasn't too bad). Quite comfortable bed. Small, acceptable breakfast. The location is convenient, in easily walkable distance from the main train station and close to the Stena Line ferry as well - though the immediate vicinity isn't particularly nice. Reception was closed overnight at the time of my stay. For the price, the hotel is alright.

Ein tolles Haus mit Ecken und Kanten. Die Zimmer sind, je nach Kategorie von, bis. Unser Zimmer war in der zweiten Etage mit Blick auf die Förde. Über eine Treppe, oder mit dem Lift leicht erreichbar. Die hohe Badewanne wird nicht jeden erfreuen, hier sollte im Vorfeld sondiert werden. Den SPA-Bereich habe ich nicht besucht und lasse die Bewertung aus. Das Frühstück muss ich hervor heben, es gibt fast nichts was es nicht gibt, super. Das Abendessen hätten wir uns schenken können, ausser teuer war es einfach nichts. Ein Absacker in der Lobby war uns auch nicht gegönnt, nach über einer halben Stunde vergebenes Warten auf den Barmann sind wir zu Bett gegangen. Außer dem gestressten Barmann war der Rest des Personals super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Von einem Haus in dieser Kategorie erwartet man etwas mehr.

The next row: Rooms: In the whole, you could do more about it, as the not renovated have already come something into the years. Reception: There are very good staff, as in the whole hotel, but unfortunately also staff who are declining or partly overdrived with their performance. Gastronomie: Generally very child-friendly. Also here, partly with very good staff and service, but unfortunately, partly weak staff. Eating in itself is good, but for the performance you bring too expensive in the A la Carte business. We were guests at an event, unfortunately, the performance of heights and depths was also marked here. The ice cold, I think, TK vegetables was unfortunately the negative height. Suppe average, pre-food was good, after-food average. Breakfast was enough and very good :) Bar: I was always good visit, so I can't understand why one trainer is left to work there alone. It was unfortunately not behind because of the high demand. However, she was very friendly, effortless and one of the best staff in the hotel. Why let them work with a trained button is a mystery for me. Wellness: The area is very beautiful in itself and I was very positively surprised, Because of our own very negative experience, I would dismiss us to visit the pool area with young children, because our experience is not desirable for children to stay in the pool in normal child volume and it is noted immediately be quiet. The other guests in the pool could not understand why we were noticed and have just shaken their head. Unfortunately, a significant negative experience, as we had no “volume” problems in any (wellness) hotel yet.

Stayed for one night on our way to Norway and can't fault the hotel at all. Very clean, congrats to the housekeeping team! Excellent breakfast with a lot of variety. Attention to detail, as for example there are mirrors with a keyhole in the corridors, where most likely housekeeping is storing their stock. A classy way to hide those storage rooms. Nice touch! Only 'negative', the toilet roll holder is installed somewhat behind the toilet, so not ideal to reach. But now we are just nitpicking..

We stayed at the Steigenberger for one night. The hotel is nice and conveniently located opposite Terminal 28. It also close to the city centre. The buffet breakfast was very good. However, there was only a bottle of water in the mini-bar. The weather was quite hot and there was not ventilation unfortunately.

This is a very nice hotel on the outskirts of Kiel very comfortable room with very large bed.We stayed here on route to sweden and it was a perfect place to stay.It has a very nice restuarant although we found the prices a little on the high side.The shops we found were about ten minutes drive.Nice views from bar and restuarant would stay here again.
