A nice, clean, friendly hotel - with a small pool - that's opposite the "Hotel Rwanda" (Hotel des miles Collines). I stayed here because much of the Kigali was booked up due to the Commonwealth Heads of Government (CHOGM) meeting. This had also pushed up prices. Hotel Le Garni was, by expensive Rwandan standards, quite reasonable. Breakfast was nice, staff were friendly and it was clean. There was a slight issue with noise, mainly coming from the evening entertainment at Miles Collines (though that stops at 10pm); and the occasional thump on the wall from the next-door room trying to kill a mosquito (there was one annoying mozzie in my room, so I slept under the mosquito net). I wouldn't mention it, but on the hotel's *********** profile it actually specifies that the rooms are soundproof - which they patently are not. But overall, I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is well-located. And it's a good option if you don't want to splash out $$$ on one of the posher hotels.
