Regardless of the quality, style, environment, facilities, and services, they are all top-notch. Especially walking along the lake and swimming in the pool are pleasant enjoyment.

We have visited here several times with all the family is it is such a comfortable place anytime of year. There are serval sitting areas which allow you you to move around the hotel through the day for breakfast, morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea, pre dinner drinks you can find somewhere different to relax with your book or use it as a place catch up and celebrate or reminisce. Then the decision is where to have dinner. There is often live music in the lobby which is lovely. The only tuning that could make the day better is a Spa treatment or one of the outdoor activities

From start to finish the staff were all amazing, so friendly and welcoming! They went above and beyond. Only negative, there was no access to Netflix etc. on TV only a few channels. I think it was just broken during our stay.

Lovely sylvan setting with nice surrounding walks which are clearly marked- lovely pool but entry to water features in the spa incur an extra 25e per use for residents- one hour admission is free if having a spa treatment.However spa treatments are very good and thermal suite had a lovely warm pool with access to the outside. We did not eat lunch or dinner in the hotel as we felt the grill bar was overpriced- much better variety and prices in Kilkenny city in restaurants such as La Revista Rinuncini and Langtons where 2 course early bird costs less than a main course in Lyrath

We have been going to the Lyrath annually since 2008. It’s been a superb hotel for us and has never disappointed. We have seen it evolve down through the years and it is currently in the best shape ever. An excellent 5 star experience from the facilities right across to the warmth, professionalism and maturity of staff. The breakfast has always been very good with subtle changes each year, however, our recent trip it was out of this world, the choice, balance and quality of food was outstanding. It must be the best buffet breakfast in the country. We certainly have not experienced better. Plenty to do with kids, swimming pool, bikes, playground, football etc, falconery, and Kilkenny city is 5 min drive away if one needs a change of scenery. Lots to do in the city. Overall, another thoroughly enjoyable stay, we all switched off and had great family time together.

Amazing service and we felt very welcome. The grounds were lovely to walk when the weather was good. Also very close to Kilkenny downtown.

This was our first occasion to visit the Lyrath and it certainly proved to be a winner. The reception team were most welcoming and genuinely pleased to greet us. Our room was beautiful and the bed so comfortable it was almost a temptation to miss breakfast. However breakfast won and again it was a real treat,excellent food and service. Evening dinner in the Yew Restaurant was also excellent and again the service first class service was provided by the friendly staff. Our two night stay was over much too soon but we will certainly return again.
