Basic but very clean hotel. Helpful and friendly staff throughout the hotel. Spacious room - comfortable beds and fresh bedding. Brilliant large bathroom with a great shower. Delicious cooked breakfast with plenty on offer. Located in walking distance to the town centre which is definitely worth a visit day and night.

Murphy’s Townhouse combines great hospitality with a superb town center location. We offer twenty spacious rooms all en-suite, with elevator access. Easily accessible from the main bus & train terminals and adjacent to public car parks, shopping areas and on the doorstep of Killarney’s National Park with its breath-taking scenery. Murphy’s Bar, a traditional Irish Pub serves great food daily from 12noon to 9pm. and offers live music nightly during the summer season.

We stayed from 1st to 4th September on the hotels special 3 night stay offer. From check-in to check-out everything was excellent. We received an upgrade which was very welcome and our room was spacious and comfy. The staff are amazing and while very busy with their jobs, still had time to chat and make you feel welcome. The food was excellent from breakfast to a fabulous lunchtime carvery. The dinner menu was also varied and delicious. A special thanks to Sevandra and Nicole who looked after us at breakfast and lunch and Robert and Kathlyn who served at the bar at night. The management were also very attentive and chatty.

We came across this hotel by pure chance. The entrance inside and courteous reception staff was a welcome after a long drive. The corridors and room were clean as if it had a refurbishment and my room was lovely, spacious and the view from the window was a tree canopy, personally I loved it; sitting on the windowsill and tune in with nature listening to birds singing - relaxing. The food was superb and catered for my elderly Mother thank you; great atmosphere too. I didn't avail of the leisure centre as it was 9am opening due to an early start on the road, but I will next time. I would say the front of the building would need painting but no doubt that is on the cards and a few window hinges need looking at, that being said couldn't fault this hotel and would put some five star hotels to shame. A gem of a find and look forward to returning- thank you.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was great and we were very well looked after. Breakfast was well laid out and plenty of food to choose from. Price was good for what we got. It really set us up for the rest of our journey.
