Killarney Plaza Hotel & Spa

We have been traveling in Ireland for a week and this is by far the best hotel. The town of Killarney is amazing and this hotel is perfect. The staff at the registration desk and specifically a young man named Miguel went above and beyond to make sure our stay was nothing short of perfect. I highly recommend anyone to stay here!
The Gleneagle Hotel & Apartments

Excellent for visiting Killarney and surrounding area. 20 minute brisk walk into town. On main road which was noisy from the balcony rooms so bear in mind if you want more peace go around the back. A relaxed and friendly hotel.
The Lake Hotel

Did not eat breakfast, don't know how. The room is big enough and the two beds are big enough. We only have two people. I don’t know if we can add an extra bed. The room is not soundproof, but it is quiet after 12 o'clock. The hotel is like a resort, the environment is very good, suitable for bringing children, not in the city center, suitable for self-driving tours, there is free parking.
Great Southern Killarney

We recently enjoyed a wonderful weekend getaway at the Great Southern Hotel Killarney. From the moment we stepped inside this charming old world Hotel you get a sense of its glorious history and times past. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and professional from checkin to checkout. Our comfortable room was spacious with all amenities and a stunning view of the gardens. One of the many highlights of our stay was the exceptional dining experience in the Garden Restaurant which offered a variety of delicious options for breakfast and dinner. Overall a top drawer experience. A big shout out to Kathleen who was so engaging, Sean, Bibi, David and all the team who made our stay so memorable. I highly recommend this hotel for an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
The Killarney Park
4.8/544 Reviews
The hotel's facilities are very complete, with reading room, billiard room, pool, rehabilitation center and SPA. It has the only Michelin-star restaurant in Killarney, and provides bicycles for tourists to ride. The dishes of The Peregrine taste very good and are the best meal of the trip to Ireland. Breakfast is also eaten in this restaurant, using the full order method, the taste of the dishes has not to say, but there is no self-service cooperation, the choice of fruit will be much less, it can be said that the lack of self-service should be the only drawback of this hotel.
Killarney Towers Hotel & Leisure Centre
4.3/542 Reviews
We stayed in the Killarney Towers for two nights in September 2024. The hotel is in a perfect location. It is right in the middle of town and you do not need to get into your car to go anywhere once you check in. The staff are really excellent. From the moment we arrived they were exceptionally helpful and always had a greeting and a smile. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast room was very spacious so never any issues getting a seat. Unfortunately for us, noise was a really big problem. We stayed in room 162. To be fair to the Killarney Towers they called us in advance of our visit to forewarn us that we would be staying overhead the bar and it could get noisy. On the Friday night there was no music in the bar. On the Saturday night the music went on until 2am.....this we could deal with. However the problem came from upstairs - the sound proofing between rooms, in our area of the hotel, is really bad. On our first night the upstairs noise started at approx 5am. It sounded like there was somebody rearranging furniture from 5am until 8am. It was so bad that I jumped up a couple of times absolutely certain that there was somebody in the room with us. On our second night (Saturday) , once the music from the pub stopped at 2am, we could clearly hear conversations from guests in the rooms above us. We could hear almost every word. It went on for ages. We are a couple with three small kids. The purpose of our visit was to have two quiet nights away and get some sleep. We departed the Killarney Towers almost delirious with sleep deprivation. We flagged the noise levels with the on duty manager, as we checked out. She was very sympathetic to our experience and we were assured that they would look into it and revert to us within a day or two. We await the response. Killarney Towers is a nice hotel in a great location with fantastic staff, but the noise issues ensure that we are unlikely to return.
