Premier Inn Newton Abbot

We stayed here due to the convenience of the location to visit family. Also, we knew we could have breakfast and an evening meal. However, when we arrived were informed that the restaurant was closed which was very disappointing.

Stayed here 29th August 2024 and was very disappointed. Our room (105) smelt damp/musky. Was offered the a room change but this room was the same. Shower curtain smelt, toilet smelt dirty, carpets were worn, windows don't open. Found this premier inn very noisy. Got woken up several times through the night and in the morning. Staff are friendly but don't go the extra mile to sort anything out.

The room was so dirty and smelt horrible! The roof felt like it was going to fall on top everytime someone walked on the room above. Can hear everything the noise and people talking from each room. I’ve stayed in other premier inn and this is by far the worst. Cleanliness should be a basic thing!

We booked the hotel in late 2023 for a family wedding this August. Having stayed here before on numerous occasions, we were disappointed to be notified only a few days before our stay that the Beefeater restaurant was closed and was being replaced by Premier inn restaurant. Only 2 days before, we were then told that no restaurant or bar facilities would be available in the evenings only breakfast. We had breakfast on the first morning. The food and plates were cold and the room was chaotic. Tables were left uncleared, floor was sticky . Lack of serving staff, all in all worst breakfast experience we have ever had.

Great hotel. Wifi didnt work. Evening meal restaurant food was ok, but lack of options like no salads, no steakss, mainly pasta, pizza curry. Only two deserts. Service was very good. Lack of two sets of towels for two guests.

Room was ok but failure of Premier Inn to communicate either directly or via the website that the restaurant was closed was frankly unacceptable. The very limited food that was available was a tiny portion, overpriced and staff did not care that experience was sub standard

Very clean and comfortable room. Air conditioning was essential as we stayed there on the hottest 2 days of the year!! Breakfast was cooked to perfection and the staff were cheerful and helpful. Although we only had a short stay, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

No problem with check in, rooms or staff We were told about the limited menu The menu was poor and restaurant only open to hotel guests No draught beer and few spirits available The bar was only open 5.30-9.30 Did not open extra hours for the races

Not happy , I had an accident because a table was broken but there was no sign or anything and being disabled was very shook up, filled in accident form but then nobody checked to see if I was ok or not
