The location and sanitation are very good, that is, the furniture is a bit less, and there is no place to put things. In addition, the hotel displayed an address on the webpage. At the front desk, it was said that it was not their order. It was an order for another address. It was about 100 meters across a street, pushing four suitcases.... Imagine how painful it is. Later, I stayed for two nights, and the same path was booked. This time it was right. I needed to push the big bag to the first hotel. After the negotiation, I didn’t change the hotel. I want to say, please Ctrip and the agent confirm the address, do not let the user get the false information, thank you

The windows could be cleaned from time to time. The same goes for the hallway, where pigeons nest on the ledge and the windows are dirty. The hotel has a dingy character, which the entrance area also contributes to. The bathroom should have a brush for the toilet. The towels should be checked for residue before being placed; some of them looked very dirty, with indefinable stains. If a kettle and packaged coffee powder (old) are provided, perhaps a bottle of mineral water should also be provided for the price. The breakfast was nothing, the price was excessive. I suspect the scrambled eggs were made of powder, the sausages were old (fried a long time ago), hard. Bacon too, with cold white fat residue. Everything was cold anyway. Otherwise there was no cheese or slices of sausage. On the second day it was probably the leftover sausages and bacon etc. from the day before. The only thing that was OK was the coffee machine.

Fantastic location so close to Surbiton station meant after a speedy check in was able to get the train into london to catch a show. Parking was available not too far away and as we had to rush for a train our luggage was taken to our room ready for our return. The room was clean and bed extremely comfortable with a fab jacuzzi style bath. The spread at breakfast in the morning was delicious, and whilst there was no cooked option, what was available was delightful. Fresh juices - orange/apple, yoghurts, granola compotes, cereal, bread/toast/bagels/muffins, cold meats, cheese, smoked salmon, tomato, cucumber, cook your own boiled eggs with timers, fresh fruit - apples/bananas/satsumas/grapes, croissants/pastries, freshly prepared choice of coffees and teas. Set us up for the day of sightseeing! Every interaction with staff was professional, helpful and genuine! All with a smile 🙂

I have stayed here many times and hotel still delivers good value and accommodation. Ideally situated for my business requirements. Sometimes struggle to park (depending on arrival times) but good view across the river. Room was a good size with a fabulous mini bar! Everything you need. WiFi connection is free and fast, comfy bed and good power shower. I actually ate in the evening but found the menu limited however, my choice of food was well presented and was fine. Breakfast was cooked fresh (which I prefer) again, limited selection of pastries, no greek yogurt only a few flavoured yogurts in sealed plastic cups (supermarket type). Overall, this hotel is fine and a good option if visiting Twickenham or Teddington.

Stayed here for 5 nights (Sep 17-22). Check in was the better part: easy and friendly front desk although no acknowledgment of being a Bonvoy member (not big deal). However, I forgot to ask, and they did not give me the WiFi code; more on that later. Room was fine upon entering. But then started to notice things: dead light bulb, dust on the nightstands, top of the desk with peeled skin (wear and tear), and of course the TV. Now that is something from the 1990s: a 30 inch old TV, grainy picture, and a very limited number of channel with only BBC and a couple showing very old movies from 1980s. You can only watch SkySports at the bar but not in the room. The next day I ended up taking a shower in a puddle as the tub did not drain well. I told the front desk and the staff who happened to be the manager took very good notes and said he’d have it fixed right away. Well, after coming back in the evening, I checked the tub and sure enough still clogged so went down to the front desk and another staff member (appeared very embarrassed) spent a few minutes and then offered to change the room. So, after about 30 min fiddling with the reservation system on their computer we moved into another room. For some odd reason my 5-day visit was done under two reservations: 4 days as one and the last day as another one. On the 4th day reception called to move me into a suite due to the 2nd reservation. I talked to the Front Desk staff and offered that staying at the same room for the same rate was fine. The junior staff agreed as the room was available and started processing but then ran into a problem on their computer system. He asked his manager for help and he promptly rushed by, summarily waved his hand, completely ignored my presence, mumbled something like “it can’t be done,” and walked away. The junior staff was clearly embarrassed and apologized and said he'd ask another hotel manager to keep me in the same room. I asked for the manager’s name (Lloyd) and said that his behavior was rude, not professional, and not that of somebody in the hospitality business. Lloyd showed up after the room situation was resolved and apologized for his behavior. Frankly, nobody needs drama, disrespect, and being treated like a nobody. After all, I was a paying guest and a long time Marriott member!! New room was a copy of the old room except the drain was not clogged. Then the next day I noticed the bathroom bulb was dead. Called the Front Desk from room, but nobody would pick up. Within a span of 30 min I called several times but nobody would pick up, so I walked down to report it to the Front Desk. Problem was solved next day. And now the WiFi: could not find the WiFi code so later called the Front Desk but again nobody would pick up. Another in person trip down to the Front Desk and asked why they wouldn’t pick up. Answer: oh, we didn’t see the phone ring! We booked this Holiday Inn at last minute due to a sporting event nearby. We recently stayed in another Holiday Inn which was excellent, so hoped that this would be the same. The on-site parking was also very important. On arrival at 3:30pm after paying for parking we were told at check in that the car parking space was not guaranteed to hotel guests. The hotel holds functions so it can get full in the evening, but not to worry there is a multi story car park a ten minute walk away!! We went to the rugby event not knowing whether we would be able to park at the hotel on our return. Our Executive room was a disappointment. The safe was not working, the wifi slow and inconsistent, the bed base was torn and the room generally needed a freshen up. It did appear clean. The room was not quiet. The room had a coffee machine as well a kettle etc for tea though No teabags. Only one bathrobe etc. Simple basics that were not right which were a disappointment. The reception staff were sympathetic, very helpful and we could sense their frustration that these simple things were not right.

We arrived and parking was good and nearby. As a disabled blue badge holder, there was a good amount of disabled bays and it was free when I presented my blue badge at reception. Check in was quick and efficient. Only one of the two lifts was working, but the hotel didn’t seem too busy so this wasn’t a problem. We had a room for 2 adults and a child, so a double bed and a bunk bed. The room was small, but we only needed it to sleep and so it wasn’t a problem. The cleanliness of the room wasn’t good. The floor was so filthy, that we just threw our socks away because of how black they were. The mattress on the single bunk bed was absolutely disgusting. I have attached photos. The sheet was just a piece of material folded in half, and wasn’t tucked in or anything which is how we noticed the dirty mattress. It was late when we noticed it, so I sent photos and an email to reception, who immediately offered us breakfast free of charge. We declined the breakfast as we already had reservations elsewhere, and we saw that breakfast was very poor with little on offer. The manager then replied and refunded our stay and cleaned the room. The management/reception team were lovely and sorted things swiftly. We would stay again and have stayed in many Ibis hotels, but I will be checking the cleanliness of them closely in future.

I stayed here a couple of times but the last time was the last! I booked in and paid in advance then on the day, I checked in and offered my photo ID as I had done previously and it had been accepted before, however on this occasion I was refused check-in as they had now decided only a passport would be acceptable which I didn’t have. The unhelpful staff and then the manager offered no solution and just shrugged and said “nothing we can do”. It should again be noted that my photo ID was acceptable before but not now – it should also be noted that the confirmation email only requested “photo ID” which I provided. No specific ID was asked for. So it seems this hotel makes up the terms and condition s as they go and seemingly change them when they feel like it! The room had been paid for so there was no chance of my running off without paying. After some time I finally resolved this by my husband racing home and emailing a copy of the passport which was grudgingly accepted otherwise my I was looking at nowhere to stay after an early, start at 4 a.m., a very long day then finally the hopeless staff at this place refusing entry to a customer who had paid way in advance causing a lot of stress! The receptionist told me they needed the passport to verify the address – however my address is not in the passport so this is a bit confusing. The manager confirmed this as well as confirming no entry and no help. This is really terrible service as they could have easily verified the address with other documents I had but this was not accepted – my ID clearly showed me as senior management at a local large organisation but the staff were unhelpful and seemed totally disinterested that I would have nowhere to stay – this part of London gets booked quickly hence my booking way in advance so the likelihood of getting a room somewhere else was very remote. It would have been simple to verify me but the staff were more interested in being difficult. So my feeling is the staff had maybe screwed up with another customer and had decided to ad hoc changes to the terms leaving me almost stranded. It could also have been a method of releasing a room for someone else – maybe a friend of the hotel. Who knows but I would be very careful using this place as they seem to have some very dubious and “flexible” terms for staying here and you may get caught out. I will never book here again and as a vice president of a large global organisation that hosts many international clients, I would certainly not recommend this place. It's short sighted of this hotel to be so unhelpful as they will have lost business but their lack of help displays a clear lack of interest in the customer. Please book here if you are happy to risk sleeping on the park bench instead of a hotel room! No doubt the hotel will quote they have to have the passport but given it was not required a few weeks before and is not requested on the booking confirmation then decide for yourself. There was a

I don’t usually stay in Ibis hotels but this one is like no other ibis hotel I’ve stayed at. From the laid back informal reception area to the contemporary rooms this was a good overnight stay. I appreciated the welcome cookies. The room was spacious but clearly designed for short stays in regards to storage space. There’s USB ports by the bedside. The bathroom has a shower, no bath and good to see the body soap and shampoo in dispensers rather than individual plastic bottles. The water though was only luke warm. The Wi-Fi signal was excellent. Location is excellent in the centre of town and just a few minutes walk to the station. The restaurant menu was limited but adequate for most tastes. My only complaint was the pulsing noise of the bathroom extractor fan which is independent of the air conditioning in the room and not able to switch off.
