Hermes Hotel

Preis-Leistung absolut in Ordnung. Einfaches, aber frisches Buffett am Morgen. Hier muss man leider Bemängeln, dass der Kaffee extrem lange dauert bzw. einen Morgen gar nicht mehr funktionierte. Ansonsten alles in Ordnung.

Abbiamo appena trascorso una settimana all'Hermes hotel e devo dire che nel complesso non è andata male, diciamo che ci sono punti forti e punti decisamente migliorabili. Partiamo dai lati positivi. La cordialità e disponibilità del personale in reception e su quello non si discute. La colazione molto valida e varia, anche se una nota negativa c'è...nei momenti di pienone non riescono a stare dietro ai refill di cibo e soprattutto di piatti, bicchieri e tazze, spesso mancanti. Altra nota negativa, ci vorrebbero due macchinette automatiche per il caffè, o quantomeno una più efficiente (quella attuale necessita di continua manutenzione e le file di attesa per farsi un caffè sono chilometriche). Passiamo alla stanza, essenziale ma pulita e fornita di tutto ciò che serve (noi ci siamo trovati senza lo stendino, ma si sono scusati e il giorno successivo ce l'hanno subito procurato. Ora le note stonate. Parcheggio sottodimensionato al numero di ospiti e tanta gente spesso si trovava costretta a parcheggiare in strada (il che non è il massimo essendo tutte auto noleggiate). Wifi inesistente, non ha mai funzionato in nessuna posizione dell'hotel. Climatizzatore da cambiare perché faceva a malapena il suo dovere impostato a 20 gradi in modalità pinguino. Cuscino del letto, e questo purtroppo è un problema frequente in Grecia, troppo leggero e praticamente inesistente. Resto complessivamente soddisfatto del soggiorno ma non credo ci tornerei una seconda volta.

Der Rezeptionsmitarbeiter Yannis war extrem gastfreundlich, zuvorkommend und hat tolle Tipps gegeben. Genau sollte ein Mitarbeiter sein. Das Frühstück war wirklich sehr gut und abwechslungsreich. Lage gut am Rande von Kissamos, so dass man das Zentrum bequem zu Fuß erreichen konnte. Extrem flauschige Handtücher. Das Hotel schien sehr wenig Gäste zu haben. Die Poolbar war geschlossen, der gesamte Poolbereich dreckig und die Liegen in schlechtem Zustand. Das Bett an sich war sehr bequem und frisch, allerdings hatte der WC-Deckel einen Riss und der Türrahmen im Badezimmer hing nur noch an einem Nagel. Der Handtuchhalter auf dem Balkon war defekt und aus der Wand gerissen. Ich war nur eine Nacht dort auf Durchreise, aber es ist sehr schade um das Hotel. Man könnte definitiv mehr daraus machen.

Booked for seven nights through an agency (from 6 to 13/9/2023). We arrived at 10pm and the receptionist immediately behaved very rudely. We had booked (at the beginning of July...) a triple room (we have a 7 year old girl), but it was not available. He gave us a double room saying that since the child was 7 years old we could also sleep in a double bed. After several complaints, he put us in a service room (triple...) which was dilapidated (leaks, broken fridge, various leaks in the bathroom). Next morning same thing with another receptionist. We managed to have "our" room on the 4th day (out of 7...). The only positive note: a lady at the reception seen for two mornings: helpful and polite. Acceptable breakfast. Bad wifi. Comfort and services in general: 2 stars. First experience in Crete. Stunning island, hotel to forget. We will return to Crete, definitely never to the Hermes.
